as i realized the implications it gave me a sick, eerie feeling.. in short, suppose memories of the deceased are collected and downloaded into a program?.
what you are about to see is a prototype program for what i suspect may be robotic construction for the near future of resurrecting loved ones who have passed on.

when the lies were fresh in the minds of all, when people saw first hand what was done wrong, giving them the reasons to jump ship and enjoy life, without fear of making a mistake, because they had a good idea of the facts.
these things have since been brushed under the carpet and the circuit overseers, elders, ministerial servants and so on are more naive and clueless (in my opinion) than ever.. the same applies to the rank and file witnesses.

The same applies to the rank and file witnesses. They stumble around not knowing a thing about their religion and blindly follow because their father did it, and his father before him. The old ones who literally carried the congregation for many years are dieing out, taking with them the secrets of the past but leaving behind their twisted logic.
This gives the Society free reign to do as they wish and it seems they are doing so.
Yes people are leaving and people are discovering for themselves what the Society is about but there is still a new generation of Witnesses that may well be more dangerous than the last because they stand for a cause they don't understand. When confronted one day, perhaps by a worldwide ban what will their fear and confusion drive them to do? I personally think the walls are being built up, forcing its members to adopt a siege mentality. Reading the comments on the News Article about that JW who molested a young girl, it becomes clear that anything that does not quite sit right in their brainwashed minds, must be an attack.

There have been a lot of steps taken recently that seem to isolate the Witnesses from the 'world' more than ever. Study and Public editions of the Watchtower for example, its another divide between them and us.

Just Heard Some Shocking News
by jookbeard ina predatory jw paedophile micheal porter (uk) who has a 15 year record of abuse including the rape of his own baby but somehow evaded jail now is a member of my old congregation;wimbledon.
words fail me, to think of the years of shunning that these idiots have heaped upon me even by my own family and this piece of shit was seen a this years memorial laughing and joking with the congregation.
strange that this news story slipped passed me when it was broadcast by the british media in 2007..

Found something kinda freaky on Google
by StAnn ini don't know why but, for some reason, tonight i decided to google someone i used to date (seriously but briefly) back in the 1990's.
i put in his name and up came~you guessed it~his obituary.
he's been dead for over nine years!

Ray Franz has had a stroke

there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.
he is still alive.

Did you ever feel let down by the Bethel tour?
by maninthemiddle inreading jeff's thread about dress made me think of my one and only trip to bethel.. i can't remember if i was babtised at the time, but i went with a bus load of jws.. like someone said in the last thread, printing presses and empty rooms.
i was very disapointed, however i don't think i had any pre-concieved notions of what it would be like.
what i was diapointed in was so much of the "tour" was walking hallways looking at exhibits behind glass.

i forget things regarding this because i have had a long break, anyone got anything useful they can link me to so i can refresh my memory.. i mentioned to this sister 607 and all that, and she said she's not good with chronology.
i need details!.

On a side note, i mentioned the British Museum and that i contacted a curator there and she said that although the website and the curator claim 586/7, that if i went to see the tablets myself that it'd prove otherwise. Obviously i don't believe that for a second.
ALSO regarding the Holy Spirit. In 1st Corinthians it says the gifts would cease when that which is perfect arrives, what does this mean? i said i felt it meant Jesus...
