Does anyone else feel like their damaged goods?
by MsMcDucket ini feel like this all the time.
i have a husband that loves me, but i still feel like if i ever were on the singles market that i would not be a "good catch".
my health problems and most of all being a former jehovah's witness makes me feel less than perfect.. i'm having a pity party.

Wanted: new parents and siblings
by sass_my_frass ini'm a 32-year-old almost-newlywed female in the market for some new family to replace the, you know... .
i need parents who will make occasional expressions of pride in my achievements, show concern during the bad times, and keep me up to date on all the gossip from home.
in exchange i'll contact you at least once per week, do my best to help you with any problems you may have, make you feel needed, travel with you to places you want to see and financially and emotionally support you as you get older!

i'd like to apply for the part of a sister, but i'm younger, would that be alright?
i could cover for you when mom and dad ask what you're up to. in my younger sister experience, i did a lot of that.
but i can also be a best friend. i'm exceptional at listening and being non-judgemental. offering advice only when asked or when you're being a real a$$. taking you out when you're feeling down. slipping a case of beer in your fridge to surprise you when you get home.
i'm really good at being a best friend. i'd give you references, but i've lost most of my "best" friends...
let me know which you'd prefer, sister? or best-friend? personally, i'd probably be a better best-friend than sister, but i leave the decision up to you.

by Lo-ru-hamah ini don't know if any one else here has made this observance but..... today as i was running errands around town i noticed quite a few witnesses out in the ministry.

i was thinking, after nearly a year of not reporting service time and nearly a year of absenteeism from the meetings, i leaving the service overseer a message with my field service time.
"hey bro. so-and-so,
i don't think you called for my service time, so i thought i leave you a message. i got 13 hours in service, but unfortunately no placements as i don't have any publications."

Do you have any kind of obsession?
by JH ini'm obsessed with new cars.
i'd trade a $50,000 car for a brand new $40,000 one the year after, and trade it again for a $30,000 brand new one the year later, and trade it again for a $20,000 one year after that.
as long as i get a new one every year or so, i love the feeling, even if it's less equipped.

i'm obessed with words. syntax. ponctuation.
describing things with new words.
like in my little propitious microcosm of perpetual libation, i capitulate to the gods of jwd.
the things is, english is not my first language, so i likely use them out of context.
i also like sex alot.

Really serious question!
by 5thGeneration indrifting away is one thing.
i'm curious if anyone has written a letter (not a disassociation letter) that simply told their friends and loved ones that you don't really believe a lot of it anymore and blah, blah, blah.. or is it better to shut up and just never show up again.. problem is my wife says if i want to leave that i have to fess up and tell people.
ouch!.

sadly, i did the same to my then husband.
he didn't want to be in the truth Ô , so i told him that he should speak with the "well-meaning" elders that would surely help him see the "errors" of his ways. but by then he had already decided to da himself.
this began what would lead to the end of our marriage.
happily, i have now seen the "errors" of my ways and have successfully been fading for nearly a year. my ex and i are best friends and are both very happy with how things turned out.
not to say you may have the same experience. it is somewhat unique. but perhaps give her time? that what i needed.
