um.
i wasn't expecting that.
for those that broke up with a boy/girlfriend or a spouse, how do you know that you made the right decision?

and that's my side of the story.

i was often disappointed. it may seem trifle, but i felt i gave so much that went unrequited.
i know now that he was battling with so many inner conflicts that he couldn't reciprocate to the degree that i needed. it weighed on our relationship. then when he da-ed him, it was my turn to disappoint him. i could no longer reciprocate to the degree he needed. we hardly talked anymore (which was our marriage's foundation).
we decided to seperate.
we stopped being mates and became best friends again.
and that's where we are now, best friends.
(and then of course, there are the degrees of dopamine and oxytocin in every relationship that will inevitably affect whether there is a breaking point or not).

ho hum. okay, here goes.
6'0".
thin.
dark.
brown eyes.
freckles this time of year.
dark hair past shoulders (just dyed it from being blond), naturally dark brown and lotsa silver.
people say they love my smile. i don't really.
i'm told i intimidate people with my height and my personality. it just wants to be a compliment, but it doesn't feel like it.
lately, i've been pretty quiet around people. i'm getting to a point where i feel there's often little to add to a conversation. i listen a lot and more and more avoid trying to impress people. i'm analytical, not overly logical (ie "i did this task in 22 steps", only to find out it could've been done in 2).
for starters...

jw's teach that jesus began ruling from heaven 'invisibly' in 1914. if no one knows the day or the hour the son of man will arrive - then how is it justified that jesus began his 'invisible ruling' from heaven in 1914?
doesn't that mean he's already arrived?
*confused*
i think Smellsgood answers the question best.
and welcome to you both!

that was the question that i was asked this morning by the nurse before undergoing my procedures at the hospital.
she said, "some people can't take blood because of their religious beliefs.
i used to be a jehovah's witness and if needed i will take a blood transfusion".......now that was the first time i ever expressed those words!
yep. i'd take it.

every once in a while, the whole "futility of life" thing washes over me and something inside of me mentions the suicide option.
not that it's ever seriously considered, but one of the low-level accounting-types in my head quietly sends around a "worst-case scenario" memo that everyone reads, then dismisses.. after all, things always perk up.
"but," reminds the pessimistic little guy that should've been fired years ago, "they always go back down, too.
if there's something that keeps me from doing it, it's different everytime depending on the severity.
mostly, i try not to drive and i stay away from the ledge.
