I often wonder if those who have left the JW's - after realizing they had a delusion about the organization, have thought about applying that experience to the belief of god?

it's appalling how little about armageddon jehovah's witnesses know.. first of all, if we experience a societal breakdown in the united states, chances are no one here will even know it's happening.
people in jerusalem will know it's happening because a huge international army will begin amassing in the valley of har-megiddon to the north of the city.
but before that can happen, the jews must build their temple as described in ezekiel, and two prophets must be called who can keep those forces at bay.

i have never understood the watchtower's explanation of the rich man and lazarus story jesus told in luke 16. of course, they don't believe jesus is talking about what happens in an "afterlife" after people die.. but from the watchtower's point of view:.
1. who are the five brothers?.
2. why can't lazarus go witness to them?
This is all ultimately much ado about nothing. If Jesus was who he was purported to be, why didn't he just give it to us straight? What's with all the parable bullshit anyway? It's all a sad, sorry, time-wasting joke.
I hated everything about it, and therefore hated MYSELF for hating it.
When I grew up and realized it was all BS, I started liking myself a little more.
