by reniaa ini thought after recently reading the bible i would put up for disussion some recent scriptures up which for me show that jesus never viewed himself as god and anyone listening would also see it this way too.. first mark 10 :17-20.

Well St Ann I reckon your explanation was pathetic diversion . Reniaa quoted from the bible and you immediately point to WT teaching - no relevance! And then you add to your pathetic argument other rubbish from another religion - you never addressed what scriptures she quoted .That just put me way off Catholicism ,well done the lord will reward you ,won't he?

XJW4 - very astute of you ,it seemed that all the ones I met who confessed to being born again were in fact from Pentecostal churches ,there seemed to be a prolific amount of them around here and I guess we tarred all born agains with the same brush because of this ,the almost aggressive way they would point out that they were born again as if they were superior. But I guess all those of the churches really claimed to be born again because of their heavenly hope ,though they did'nt make a big song and dance about it like the Pentecostals used to.

by OUTLAW inas most of you know..i live in the canadian wilderness,on a mountain..going to civilization is not cheap..it`s time consuming and gas is not cheap to make the trip..$15.00 round trip..or..$200.00 taxi cab fare(round trip),plus cab fare to get around town............i drove up my ranch driveway..and..got out of my truck to unlock the massive ranch gate..stuffed into the gate was the new wbt$ tract,wrapped in a plastic bag!..the title of the tract:"would you like to know the truth?
"...............actually..yes,i would like to know the truth!.....what kind of an idiot would spend all that time to drive to the middle of nowhere,spend all that money on gas,spend money on plastic bags,just to leave me a worthless wbt$ tract??!!....lol!

by billie jean ini don't mean to sound crude but ive always wondered what witnesses are allowed to do in their marriage (sex wise) only i always imagined that they wouldn't ever deviate from the 'missionary possition' and what about oral sex, is that allowed ?.
i spoke to an 'on the fence' old friend of mine a while ago he'd recently married and he said that a sister in their congregation had told his wife that anything other than 'missionary' was totaly out, he was angry at this statement and told me he thought it was "a matter of conscience" .
but i'm still curious !

HALCYON - I acknowledge men have this problem too as I knew a couple who had'nt been intimate for 12 years and counting but he had big health problems. My comments before were directed at a local problem here years ago it was as if the sisters just took on a fad to excuse themselves.

I point out my post is not being cynical ,I just would like to know as while I was a JW the Born agains I met at the homes all seemed to believe in tongues just being a gift in angelic language. Has this changed?

JW's who only stay for social reasons are serving out of wrong motives
by yadda yadda 2 inwe know that many jw's are very disillusioned and would probably love to step sideways from their religion.
but they stay because all their friends and family are jw's.
this is especially the case with younger ones and single ones in the organisation, who often have very sophisticated social lives and networks of friends in the organisation.

Sure there's plenty in for the social/family aspect but does it really matter? Their token service is good is'nt it? It's of little use to WT ,and they serve to be a pain in the arse to the GB. Well done ,they don't start bible studies and drain the coffers at assemblies haha!

Does becoming a born again christian automatically mean a person now believes the gift of tongues given at Pentecost are just the languages of angels and not the local jews speaking in different earthly languages?(Acts ch2)
