  Anyone Here Do Any Stock Market Investing?

  not sure if this is the right forum for this, but....anyone want share any recent stock purchase?

  if you own stock, please make an argument as to why you purchased it.

  this is my hobbie, i look for undervalued companies to buy and wait for wall street to recognize it's true value (anyone heard of warren buffett?

  You've just taken the first step, and guess what, as a lifetime JW myself I can tell you the world isn't full of "bad people". Sure there are bad people and there are good people. Just like in the organization, good ones and bad ones. I've been out for about a year now and have found that I'm not a horrible "traitor" for not going to meetings. I feel Jehovah loves me and my family just as much today as he did five years ago. There are some very intelligent people on this board, ask what you like, you'll more answers here than you did at the kingdom hall and with no pre-concieved ideas about who you are. No wicked looks down the nose, no questioning of your motives, just be yourself, it's all good bro!

  I think I did something very "sick" and embarassing

  okay... so i am super embarassed once again.

  this time what happened is too embarassing to share, i think.

  most people would probably tell me i am gross, too, and most of you would probably not even want to hear it so i guess that i am better off not sharing it here.

  You shouldn't feel embarrased at all! It was an accident, a part of human nature, don't be embarrased. As far as your friends are concerned, true friends will not find fault with your medical condition. We are honored that you confided in us with your situation, that's what true friendship is all about.

  Slap my mouth! I never had the depth to think about the possibility that it was a feminine issue. Sorry Kristyann, didn't mean to pry. I was thinking along the lines of barfing on your dentist or something like that. Actually, that just happened to one of my employees just yesterday, so that's where that idea came from. OK, I'm outa here so I don't dig a bigger hole to bury myself in.

This is my hobbie, I look for undervalued companies to buy and wait for Wall Street to recognize it's true value (anyone heard of Warren Buffett?) and therefore an appreciation in the price of the stock. As an example, let's say I bought DIS (Walt Disney Company) at $22.00 per share last November and it's now trading at $29.00 per share, I've made a 24% profit.

  i'm irked... i had just got my two grown kids to start associating with me again.. well they let me take them shopping... anyway.. i had arranged a lunch with them and all was ok... then they had their district convention the weekend before the lunch was scheduled and they got back all fired up to shun me again..lunch canceled.

  evidently there is a lot of warnings about associating with your mother at the dc.. i'm this close to writing a da letter.. i mean ..why not if i'm gonna be shunned like an evildoer anyway?.

  the distorted view of love that the society promotes is sickening and really should be exposed as the evil that it is.

  Hahaha, this is getting funny. OK, you HAVE to know now that everyone is sooo curious now. It's worse not to tell us at this point, because now our imaginations are running wild! It's OK if you wanna tell us, no one will think any less of you. Just get it off your chest and let's have it, you'll feel much better. No pressure though, just trying to make you feel more at ease.

  I managed to apologise to someone I used to shun.

  in fact, over the past year there have been two such instances.

  a few weeks ago i was at a depot i visit once a month and i noticed someone who had been disfellowshiped about 8 or 9 years ago.

  i waited for him to finish his conversation and then approached him.

  Taxes, taxes and more taxes! I don't see where this will ever end. We're taxed on everything and it's still not enough, I just don't get it. Uhhh...let's see, what else....hmm. Well...truthfully, I've got a list a mile long but I'm too tired to put it up here. Besides that, I always try to see the glass as half full instead of half empty. So...maybe complaining about everything that bugs me would'nt be worth the time it would take to type it all out.

  i've been a member of this fourm for quite sometime although i rarely post.

  Wow! I still find myself asking after all this time, (we've been out for about a year) is there a financial motive with the organization? I wondered this for a long time and am now beginning to formulate an opinion that,...yes...I am sincerely beginning to think that much of the motivation for what goes on in the org is monetarily driven. Just amazing, simply amazing. Thanks for sharing. By the way, I love the ---> (currently hiding in the Witness Protection Progam)
