i have had my own power of attorney drawn up and sent to my non jw family to void out my old card.
but now the society is pretty much forcing the issue on everyone with the emergency contact information (witchhunt) gathering drive every year and basically not taking a no for an answer fill it ot or get pulled in back.
well i am giving them the big fu this time i filling their card out but listng my non jw family on it as the contact and then filling yet another power of attornty to void out their stupid card again..

Then they are flat-out lying (surprise, surprise). The only thing I had to give the eldumbs for "disaster preparedness" was emergency contact info. No one requested copies of my anti-blood card.

The answers are in the books. No one is going to rehash or summarize hundreds or even thousands of pages of scientific research and explanation on this forum.
I suggest you go read the books that were suggested - the real science books that were given earlier (not the rehashed creationism that QC is spouting) - before continuing to post. Otherwise, you will just continue to impress everyone with your stubbornness and willful ignorance.
we went to a second hand book fair with literally 100 000+ books and i found some bible teach books in the religion section.
of course very few people go to the religion section, but anyway i got out my pen and wrote jwfacts.com on the title pages.
it's small, but it could just save someone..
Heh. I printed out those stickers but on bright construction paper, more in the form of little cards rather than stickers. I have been surreptitiously leaving them in bathroom stalls.... at the convention.

This is a silly argument. Just suppose for a moment that you had such an intelligence - from whence did it come? Did it evolve? If so was that evolution also guided by intelligence? From whence came that one? ad infinitum ad nauseum.
i noticed over the years how bros & sis(tm) would pronounce words/names differently or totally substitute them so as not to sound offensive.. egs:.
instead of 'bible aids' a bro(tm) said 'bible helps' thus avoiding aids disease!?!.
instead of sodom the bro(tm) pronounced it 'sow dom'.

This is a result of what we call "putting a $10 word in a $5 mouth."
Kind of along the same lines.....if someone mispronounces a word, it continues to be mis-pronounced by every one else thereafter.
Reminds me of a funny story. This one week I was the WT reader, and it happend to be the week the Elders were all away at some school. So the conductor was this young MS, an Elder's son and a real square - a true company man boy (he later went to Beth-hell). Anyhoo, the word hyperbole was in the lesson a few times. So I read the paragraph and pronounced it "hyper-bowl". MSBoy reads the question - says "hyper-bow-lee". This goes on for a couple paragraphs, until somone's bible study, who was a schoolteacher, made a comment on a paragraph and pronounced it correctly.
The word was pronounced correctly for the remainder of the lesson.

Unless there is a chapter explaining exactly how there was some "intelligent designer" that originated from nothing, this book doesn't explain any origin of life.

everyone has their own beliefs and all should be treated with respect.
Willful ignorance deserves no respect from anyone. Attempting to have your ignorance taught in school to indoctrinate the next generation into it - deserves annihilation.

Meh. I'm not against it if the money was just for restoration of the buildings. Many old churches are very beautiful and historic buildings in their own right, quite apart from any religious use.

i read an interesting article in the awake in the scientist on-line magazine and i thought i would summarise it for the lovely people on jwn.
this is a great example of what survival of the fittest really is and it provides evidence of evolution that can be observed in our own lifetimes.. creationists will say this is micro evolution and not macro evolution (or as an evolutionary biologist refer to it speciation).
