This is something little - but where in the bible does it say not to celebrate your birth? Where does it say in the King James version of the bible that Jehovahs' Witnesses are the only true religion? Just a few things to ponder.

Whats Wrong With the JW doctrines
by Lotus65 ini just unfortunately came back from the jw convention and ive only heard their side of the story i know that they use mind control tactics but i need to know what is wrong with there doctrines biblically.
i took a king james bible and seemed like what the were saying about the bible was true.
im never going to try going back to that religion again but i need to know that the only thing wrong with their religion isnt the mind control tactics they use.

Not allowed to sleep over - is that weird?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so my guy and i have been together for 10 months and we usually are ok together.
but there is something that has been getting to me and i think its unusual, but please correct me if i'm wrong - he won't let me sleep over at his house.
and he hardly ever stays at my house, he's maybe stayed here 3 times in our whole relationship.

Cog - that sounds like a great idea! He's suppose to be coming over tonight to watch a movie at my apt with me. I will have to try and bring it up without him getting defensive and without me sounding like I'm argumentative with him. We will see how it turns out. I'll keep you updated! Thanks!

When a Friend is Driving Drunk. What to do????
by horrible life inlast night, a small group ( about 8 ) of teenagers gathered to go watch the meteor showers.
a young man, known to all, drove up, asking what was going on.
they told him they were talking about where was the best place to go watch.

The 2 kids and your daughter did the absolute right thing. There wasn't much else you could've done except call the police and even then there was no complete way of knowing they would reach him in time if he had already sped off.

Uzzah - Thank you for your kind words. You are truly sweet! Cog - I think you are right. We are both trying to have the upper hand and I do want to respect his wishes, but in a relationship shouldn't you try to reach a happy medium? To me, I don't think its fair for me to stay over until 2 or 3 in the morning at his house and then have to drive all the way back to my place because he's a little insecure or OCD. We've slept together before and I was over there pretty much the whole day today, its something that I can't seem to understand.

Congrats!!! I'm sorry that your family is treating you like that. If they want to see your kids bad enough then they will make the effort to come to your house.

So I pulled something with him today. I asked him to make me lunch today and he agreed. I'm not sure if this was the right way to do it, but while he was cooking lunch, I laid on his couch and just hung out. After lunch, I talked him into having a little fun, I said the only way we could do it was if it was in his bed, he tried saying no, but then I started walking out the door and he pulled me back. We went upstairs and fell asleep in his bed afterwards... I think that's a start right?

His first marriage didn't work out because his wife wanted to party all the time and she didn't want to take care of their son. At first I thought he didn't want me to spend the night because of his son, but we've all gone on trips together and slept in hotels together. And his ex-girlfriend before me slept over with his son all the time too.
I've tried talking with him about his OCD, and today was my final straw and so he said when he goes in on Monday that he'll talk to his doctor. But what I don't get is how come his ex-girlfriend could spend the night and they were only together a few months and him and I have been together for quite a while and he's even met my Ministerial Servant dad (that's a whole other post, but lets just say, he came out with my bf and I and we went to a bar and all had a blast!!!))) and we've gone on his family outings together. I've been trying to figure it out on my own for a while, but I need people who have had relationship experience to help out with this one.

I own that book, lol. I had to read it for my Psych of Human Sexuality class I took last year.
Do you think he's just afraid of not telling me? I told him if he didn't want to be with me to tell me and that I would walk away, but he seems to stick around and I'm just not sure what to think of it. I thought he might not have been that into me either, until he said that at this point in our relationship he's loved me more than even his ex-wife and any of his ex-girlfriends. I mean, when we aren't fighting over me being insecure or the spending the night thing, we are so close, its like we're two peas in a pod. I just don't know how to react to this sort of situation because I've never dealt with something like this before.
