i would like to thank all of the posters to this board.
had i not stumbled upon here, i may never have been armed with the courage and information i needed to stand up for myself and leave this religion.. i'd probably still be going to meetings, giving talks on the service meeting, public talks, going out in field service.
i might even have been guilted into going off to mts within the next year... yikes!.
You are welcome.

for some reason, i couldn't post on your thread.
it's been happening quite frequently, so it's easier to just start this new thread.. welcome chase.
i look forward to hearing your story.
Chase's 'Intro' Thread is here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/206379/1/new-member

It's a very mixed crowd. Some disgruntled. Some Disfellowshipped. Some Disassociated. Some currently active (even elders~!) - but no longer believe the org is 'Jehovah's sole channel of communication'. Some are still pretty die-hard (apologetics). Some are dating a witness. Some are just here because they like us.
Welcome to our little corner of cyber-space. It really is a good place to be. Most will identify with your JW 'issues'. Some will challenge you, but that's OK, too.
Nice to have you join us.

PS: For some reason, the 'ReplyBox' was not visible for me in IE. For other reading this who want to comment, there is a 'PostReply' button at the top of the screen (near where you can choose a NewTopic) and on the same line where it says 'ActiveTopics'.
i'd like to ask undercover why he has so many responses that are similar to what i think?.
finally free, are you really as cranky as you seem?.

Seriously???
That would have been BIG news~!! I've been thinking of her and hoping she is happy. Looks she very well may be~!!

i was wondering how many out there have written the society and got a responce.
im thinking of writing but i dont wanna waste my time if they wont take me seriously.
i intend to challenge many different things they say and do.
I personally have not but I think that often their response comes to you via the local elder body.

i have had it with my mother.
i've spoken on the board before about her.
she is fanatically religious, often keeps me on the phone for hours while she talks endlessly about the bible.
I told my mom not to call me if she was going to count the call as service time.
Haven't heard from her in five years.

Sounds like some of the multiple-alias personalities we've had here on JWD/JWN.
i was wondering about that half-table/half-podium thing that jw's use on the platform.
is that unique to jw's & do they build them, like shakers had their own furniture?.
Who is the witness-run podium company in the UK & in the US? Who is the witness-run sound company?
And the carpet company.
And the chair company.
And the janitorial supply company.
at least with the wts changing their ridiculous doctrine of "no organ transplants" policy, seth thomas was given a chance for additional life, wife and child.
there were at least 15 years with the wts ban on organ transplants.
how many died or had long-term unnecessary sufferings?
Thanks for posting the update.
I actually wondered how he was faring.
