My sister's company offers tuition reimbursement. I was so happy for her! She refuses to take advantage of the opportunity. That WT education is really all she needs or desires.

it's bad enough that jws waste valuable, life-saving minutes getting coffee, but now this happens.... http://www.starbucks.com/careers/college-plan.
so many dubs work at starbucks!
this is a dangerous situation that must be from satan!

when i was reading the new 2015 shepherding textbook, i saw some references to the past watchtower and awake magazines like the 1960`s to the 1999 issues and the past kingdom ministries and some other past books.
and there was a link that someone in this forum sent which was the 2014 watchtower library compact disc rom, but it was hard for me to download them because it was asking me for a flash drive, and i don't have any flash drive.
and i know it is only from this forum that i can get it because i cannot read those past articles in the jw.org watchtower online library because all the publications starts from the year 2000 to 2015. so i wish someone from this forum can send a link that is easier to download so that i can read those watchtowers and awake magazines please.

Well... Yes. You are. When you are on a discussion board (like this one) and you type in all caps, it's equivalent to yelling.
.
You seem extremely demanding of people here to do your research for you. It takes ALL of us time to look things up. Your (very few) posts give the impression that you believe your time is more valuable than ours. Also, you have given no indication of the subject matter of these letters (might make it easier to search??, might be interesting to those of us who took the time to even read your oafish posts...??), no inclusion into why the letters might be important to you, and absolutely ZERO information about yourself, your thoughts, your history with JWs, or anything.
Just a bunch of demands.
My guess is you are self-important elder who knows he should not be on this site, but feels he can bully his way around.
Maybe consider using the word 'Please' when demanding people to drop everything to do research - or anything else, for that matter - for you.

did you know that the wtbts applied for these compensation funds?
i had no idea and if this has already been addressed then so be it.
i find it interesting due to the fact that so much is made of the jws being in camps during ww2 and nothing else is expressed about the other millions who died in these camps.
I've read about this 'restitution' thing before. There were also some ceremonies or congresses, as I recall. Jim Pellechia was involved.
Here is link to Jehovah's Witness Holocaust-Era Survivors Fund, Inc.
Jim Pellechia is cited as VP of this group. He was my circuit overseer back in the 70's.

many of you know amber scorah as the ex jw writer who wrote this very inspiring article: http://www.believermag.com/issues/20130 ... cle_scorahshe has been an inspiration to many, many people as they navigate their way through the many feelings and issues that come with leaving the jw cult.amber is also my cousin.on monday, she lost her 3 month old baby son, karl.
http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/07/15/ny ... .html?_r=0 understandably, she is devastated - and now facing mounting medical bills, funeral expense and more.
a foundation has been set up to help them face these costs.
Tragic and Heart-breaking. I cannot imagine the pain.

you can probably guess how this story goes.. i began dating a non-witness boy.
he knew i was a baptised witness and understood the consequences i faced for dating him.
we agreed to keep our relationship secret, which was easy considering our 200 mile distance.
It is not love in ANY way, shape or form.
It is nothing less than manipulation, pure and simple.
I am so very, VERY sorry that you are going thru this. Legally an 'adult', you are only just beginning and should not have been forced away from your family at such a young and tender age. You *can* be stronger for this horrible experience, but it absolutely sucks that it was thrust on you. The act of Public Disfellowshipping should be a criminal offense. Especially for those 20 and under.
I am so sorry. Keep coming back here. You can find good support from people who really 'get' what is happening to you.

on a number of threads i have seen it mentioned that the jw scam "religion" approves the use of hemopure.. is this in print anywhere please ?.
When I was in Brooklyn Bethel a few months ago, there were samples of 'medical information packets' that were for the HLC to use in guiding physicians as they deal with JWs.
I am out of the org (as a walk-away believer) for over 20 years, but I do not recall hearing anything of homopure *specifically* in regular JW literature that is meant for the regular rank and file or for householders. Merely in the form of letters to elders, hospital liaison committee members and what I saw for physicians.
But I also may just be well out-of-the-loop...

ok again i would like to apologise as i did come across preachy.
i am not going to debate whether or not i am a bk as you have your opinions either way.
what i was trying to write though was my thoughts and feelings which i hope don't offend anyone on this forum.
i have been out of the org for several years.
i faded.
my husband became inactive but still believes that the jws have the truth.
Maybe consider making a trip to Lake Tahoe in California this summer:

thank you for accepting me.. i don't seem to be able to reply to posts, despite receiving my confirmation email (which i have activated).
is there a button somewhere that i've missed?.
i've been on internet forums before.
Welcome to JWN! Nice to have you join us. I look forward to hearing your thoughts - once you are able to post replies.
As xanthippe said, there is a reply box a little below these comments. It's just below the bold words that say 'Have your say ... '

i find it hard to believe that adults on this forum make such a big deal about not celebrating birthdays, x-mas, easter, halloween, etc, etc, etc.
i grew up as a jw kid and it actually made me feel good, being different from the other kids in school.
we went to meetings.
Being a young male in a misogynistic religion and also having a non-jw dad probably tempered your experience. I was a young girl with a jw-convert dad who worked hard to climb the jw ladder of success. We had *NO* vacation - EVER. What little money there may have been for even an over-night vacation went to kingdom hall projects.
I, too, however, thought I was special and privileged. As an adult, I see my current peers who had amazing and mind-blowing experiences that far eclipsed the thrill of placing a magazine with a kind neighbor woman.
We had some good experiences as kids, but even just one real vacation to remember as a family would be a real nice memory for me and my siblings. You were lucky.
