No. Never. And I regret the times that I did when I was a JW. It all seems so silly now.

On what occasions do JW's give undue 'worship' to humans?
by jambon1 incelebrating birthdays is wrong according to the wts.
we all know their crazy reasoning on the matter.
so what are some occasions that jehovahs witnesses get involved with that give undue 'worship' to humans?

Celebrating birthdays is wrong according to the WTS. We all know their crazy reasoning on the matter. So what are some occasions that Jehovahs Witnesses get involved with that give undue 'worship' to humans? 1 - celebrating anniversaries. Always confused me that one. There are many others though. Take it away........

"Accept Jehovah's Authority" - Study Article 24th Aug
by passwordprotected inwhat space does that leave for jehovah?
the theme text is 1 john 5:3 which refers to the un-burdensome commandments of god.
quite what that scripture has to do with authority is puzzling, as it talks about the love of god not jehovah's authority.

Next weeks study is also unbelievable. Basically saying that if you feel spiritually weak, that it has nothing to do with God. After all, he hasn't changed. LOL. If you are feeling like you want to leave, it's your problem, work on it. It could never be that a person has become disillusioned with the WTS or has changed his mind about god, through life experience. Guilting people is what the WT is very good at. Expert in fact. Terrible.

How long did you stay active after having major doubts?
by jambon1 infor me, i had doubts from the beginning.
however, my 1st major doubt came as i had it confirmed that other people felt like i did about certain big issues within the org.
there were many, i realised, that just knew things were not right.

For me, I had doubts from the beginning. However, my 1st major doubt came as I had it confirmed that other people felt like I did about certain big issues within the org. There were many, I realised, that just knew things were not right. For a few years I felt like I was the only one. This happened about 6 years before I eventually left. Wasted, wasted time.

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!

"Dear jehovah. Thank you for providing this food for us. My family & I are hungry & it's lovely to fill ourselves with your provisions. It's a shame that you couldn't provide for the starving millions in the same way. You know, the crying little babies that will die of hunger. I know jehovah, because I did a google search & I never realised that it is actually unbelievably painfull when a person dies of starvation. But I am gratefull that you have spared me & mine that fate. Amen." Religion is full of people who bathe in their own importance. It does my head in!
