the past three weeks having been so stressful and very sad.
my ex husband died after being in hospital for just over a week in intensive care.. i was just 18 and he was 21 when we first met and after a whirlwind romance we married 6 months later and have two sons together who are now adults.
although our marriage ended after 25 years and i remarried 7 years ago, he was my first love and i knew him for most of my life.
Maddie. That is a terrible shame that you have had to go through grief and rejection all at the same time.
I cannot even conceive of not having contact with my childrens children. It is one of the cruelest things about the
WTS. One of the foremost things that I hate the most about the religion. How people can treat their own flesh & blood
like this is simply beyond me. To hand the toys back? How utterly horrible. I wish you well & hope the situatuation

i recognized, when i first started searching the web, that there are tons of information regarding jehovah's witnesses.
most is negative toward the religion.. coming onto jwd/jwn gives one a different perspective.
you get to interact with those thinking about leaving, those who have already left and even some who never were in the cult but are fascinated by the experiences of those that were in the "truth".. when you are on this site, how does it affect you??

At one time, visiting the site & discussing matter which I had never openly spoke about was
literally life saving to me.
Sometimes I would get angry about all the horrible things that had happened to people.
I like to look in now to see how everyone is doing & to read newcomers experiences.

My negative outlook brought me to the stage of contemplating suicide. I was totally paranoid
& although I was depressed, I didn't have any reason to be other than my major dilema about
whether or not to stay a JW. I actually had an awful lot of things going for me at the time.
My non JW family began to notice how I always looked at life & the future with a negative outlook.
The religion ****ed me up. Something I will never forgive them for. Something I will make sure
doesn't happen to my kids.
How did it effect you?
would you or do you give your kids religious training?
is religious education something you would not now consider?.
I teach them that religion is mainly a pile of horse shit and to tay away from anything that causes
such deep divisions.
