the speed of that process will not allow his blood cells time to regenerate, meaning he will require transfusions so that the chemotherapy can continue unabated.. in a statement read to the court, the boy said transfusions carried spiritual consequences.. "the doctors have told me i might die and i don't want to - but i don't want blood," he said.. "the blood will change me... when you take blood, you are taking someone else's life.. "i really don't want this and my heart is ripping apart.".

This is front page news in Adelaide. I feel sad for the boy, he is only 10. There must also be a lot of pressure on the parents to "do the right thing" in the eyes of the congregation.
i don't understand why the elders want this letter so badly ....for one i don't remember signing a contract to become a jehovah's witness ,why do i need to resign ?.
also i was baptised in 1978 before the baptism questions changed , i dedicated myself to god not an organization .
my vow was to follow the direction by holy spirit as revealed to me through the bible, not the watchtower ...... if i belonged to the luthern church and quit going after three yrs they drop your name off the member list ........but if i chose to come to easter or christmas service everyonre would still talk to me i just wouldn't be a member any more .. .
Ask them where it says in the bible that you have to give them a letter. They are pathetic - sorry you are going through this.

I went back to college at 31 and I thought that was old. It has given me job security since. I found it very difficult getting my brain into gear - like I'd been asleep since leaving school. It was well worth it though.
i was told when i hit thirty and was catastrophising, "just wait till you are 40, it just gets better.".

Do you feel that different to when you were 30? I don't. Be as healthy as you can, try to be fit and not overweight. Walk a lot.

Cagefighter, panic attacks usually begin during or after a major life stress or a period of continual stress.
Even the experts are not fully sure what causes a person to begin having panic attacks. And why some people get them and others don't.
The best way you can help is not to contribute to any stress your girlfriend may be under and don't put her under pressure. It goes without saying (and you probably realise this yourself in hindsight) - don't fight. Just let her be herself.

No one, including family, has ever said anything to me about the DA letter. Does anyone know if this is normal to not hear anything?
It's hard to believe that a DA letter wouldn't be passed on to the local congregation. I've heard more instances of a DA'd or even DS'd JW not being told of their status.

living on an island now ,with a kingdom hall in town for 18 months ,but have'nt been called on yet !!!.
funny thing is the mormons caught up with me and they have'nt been to the island for 3 years!!!!.
