Are there any areas of the planet that they do brag about their growth...in the US it seems to be only the non-English speaking congos......
My wife said that in the congo she is attending here, there are no teenagers at all........
japan had a handful of witnesses after ww 2....this number skyrocketed to 222,912 by 1998!
then something happened.
publisher figures didn't stop, they dropped by thousands over the next decade!.

Please post whatever that is purps, not many yet, but the writing is on the wall!
many witnesses regard the organization as their "mother".
whatever "mother" says is what we do.
"mother knows best!".
Knowing that their chronology is a lie makes them rotten to the core.
Especially since the basis of the whole organization is based on this chronology, the 1914 return (invisble) and then the selection of the 'true religion' in 1918/1919 (regardless of how many things were going on then that one would be disfellowshipped for today)
feeling guilty already about being on here, the familiar words are recalled in my mind "don't go on any jehovah's witness websites except 'watchtower.org'!
so here i am, desperate for some help.
i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.
God is dealing with YOU as with sons
GOD is dealing with you....not elders.
i have a question.
why dose it take two witnesses if a child says someone molested them.. but with oral sex it only takes the one spouse to get the other mate in trouble.
why the difference.
Another question on this, with the 'oral sex ban', is it in any of the pubs, is it regional in its adminstration.......what is the basis for this?
since so much of the 'gloom/end times' talk is based on all the wars, increase in earthquake activity.....how does a jw respond when things like the 25 year civil war in sri lanka end??
does it just get ignored?.

Welcome to this site, great information and wonderful folks, keep reading and asking questions, so very much to learn!!
i hate the damn daily text!
i would wake up tired, looking for coffee and some eggs after a party night and my mum or wife would say "first lets read the daily text".......so not in the mood!
it's like a mini brainwash in case you forget your a witness later in the day.. remember whaen it came with the yearbook attached?
I know elders who'd say things like, "Did you notice that excellent point in the Text this morning?". This was done to test their subject as to whether they were being "faithful" to the "Slave's" direction...So childish....but I guess the elder thought he was doing his part.
well we moved to another city and my wife was handed off to another sister for her study, even though it was only about 10 minutes from where the previous sister lived.
is this standard practice, will a person really only work in thier own territory??
my wife seems to like this sister she is studying with, and last week i met her and her husband, seem like pretty nice people, both born into the organization and seem to be pretty brainwashed by the stuff.
She is still studying, making pretty slow progress and she will say all the 'dubby' things at times, but I feel she is more looking for friendship than the dub doctrine.

There are very few jw wives who would allow her ubm to quit a job that brings in blood money. Why should they, since the umb is a sinner anyway.
What would the elder view of such a situation be?? Would an elder push a ubm to quit a job?
