there are some of you that know this already but for those that dont and that are interested to know i decided a few weeks ago to end what was a relatively short relationship with and marriage to, elaine.

i dont take these decisions lightly and the last few months have silently been hell whilst i try to get a grip on my thoughts and feelings and the decisions ahead; when two people are simply too fundamentally different and do not provide for each other in the way that they should, in my view not a lot can be done and this is the situation i found and find myself in.. i know a few of you might have met elaine and for those that have i dont wish for you to think any ill of her.

i dont apportion any real blame other than on us both for the breakdown; shes still the same person you met and has some fantastic qualities.

i have a hard time accepting the fact that intelligent men truly beleive the creator has a special arrangement with them and somehow they are being used in a special position because of one scripture about the faithful and discreet slaves.. they should all be locked up in a nut house for beleiving that.

I appreciate your line of arguement but i don't think these long, boring, droning threads are of that much use at all. All it is, is intellectual masturbation and very few people who are searching for the TRUTH are going to bother reading these spewing ramblings.
The truth comes from within, not from an intellectual discovery. You're a Bhuddist mate, you should know that. I agree that we can at times be guided by what someone else says to us but not in the aformentioned way.

I would wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments on this thread. Thing is there will always be someone who wants to argue until they're blue in the face. IMO it's absolutely pathetic to keep posting on these type of 'WTS doctrine let's argue about it 'til we die' threads.
People that keep these threads alive should get a life, cos they're just pissing in the wind....a strong one.
For pity's sake guys, some of these threads are hundreds of posts long.
Stop having your heads booted around by these boring sods!! Use your time for a more worthy thread.

However, if the trinity should be clearly and consistently presented in the bible, then so should the prohibition on blood, the smoking rule and shunning, to name but a few jw doctrines that have no scriptural basis.
