Someone isn't happy with me

i just received this email from a jw.

he isn't the first person to send me his views on my website, i've had plenty of correspondence lately, but at least this one isn't full of abusive language, which many of them have been.

those ones tend to get deleted, though i have sent a few, with the email addresses included, to wts headquarters.

after hearing various (superficial) proofs for bible tales, justifications for various bible teachings, the immediate invisibility of god and questionable evidence of his existence, the ever present 'immmanent armageddon', the past six or so thousand years of human suffering and apparent abandonment by god, i am left wondering a pretty simple question that i don't think i've actually heard anyone ask let alone try to answerwhat was god's purpose in creating 'adam and eve' anyway?

are we like pets that are being disciplined over the previous six thousand years?

or simply under the care of a delinquent owner?

Most all of human suffering is unnecessary and caused by actions of other humans. Accusing the deity is a cop out!

I don't think that god is being accused of directly doing the wrong of humans.

God stands accused of other things, including genocide and outright abdication of moral responsibility.

How do you feel about Tatoos?

i feel very offended and distrurbed when i see people covered with tatoos.

some people have tatoos all over their bodies, even on their faces.

there are also tatoo programs on the tlc channel that children can watch without a forewarning before the show comes on.

Went to see Amy Winehouse last night at Manchester Academy.

I went to hear her sing (oh WHAT A VOICE man!!!!) and see her perform.

She had quite a few visible tatoos on her arms and one of them had been done that very day.

She is a passionate, fiery, feminine and ultimately sensitive woman.

What's more, i sure wanted to lick those tatoos. What a sexy girl!!!!!

Little children deserve to die at Armageddon

for the life of me, i cannot work this one out.

it disturbed me when i was a jw and it now just makes me plain angry.. here are some comments from ministerial servants & elders on this subject, which i heard when i was in:.

"you know, a while ago, people used to object to the idea of children dying at armageddon but nowadays there is a spirit in kids (massive generalisation), which just seems to make them fit for destruction.

BALANCING the differences between IMAGINATION and what is REAL in kids

the laws of nature and physics are violated every few seconds in film and tv!

is it surprising that children are not only ignorant of how things really work-but, they don't have patience and an appetite for fact when they get to the schoolroom.

Are you saying we have no control at all over developing useful vs wasteful habits?
Training and a strict regimen builds athletes and musicians, why does it fail in our leisure pursuits?

Terry, i think that the idea behind teaching our children (not trying to patronise here) is that we do it hand in hand with their age and how their brains are developing.

True, Mozart composed and played his first opus at the age of 4 but he was a freak!

Fiction is beautiful but each individual must know where it stops and as i said, that is MOSTLY down to the type of person we are.

Please don't tell me you were reading your kids Freud and/or Jung at bedtime!!??

I love listening to BBC Radio 4 and soaking in the reading of some gorgeous piece of fiction. Do ya know what.....?...sometimes i lose myself in it

We will be who we will be in the end. What extent a parent plays as to shaping their child, i'm not altogether sure.

I'd like to take a look at why there may be an over-indulgence timewise on the part of many.

I don't think there's any corollation between a person becoming lost in fantasy as an adult and how much fantasy ( id est, fairie stories and the like) they are exposed to as a child.

How much an adult becomes lost in fantasy is mostly down to the type of person that they are, such as an addictive or obsessive individual.

Being lost in fantasy is just a term. A person that has a gambling problem is lost in fantasy. As is a person that can't tear themselves away from a certain 'soap opera' or any other television programme. I don't think any of the above types of people are that way inclined due to being fed too much Spiderman or Grimm's Fairie Tales.

By the way, i have 3 sons. 19, 16, and 14 years old.

Why all the Athiest/Christian bashing?

i know i am different than many, and though i accept christianity, i just don't understand the constant debate and haggle over the matter.

not a week goes by without one side starting a fight with the other, then the other retorts with it's position.

lots of wordsmiths appear and try to reason above the other persons head, and make naked accusations about an entire class of persons unknown.

As JW's we were conditioned to be passionate and to KNOW that we had the truth. We used to laugh at other peoples beliefs.

Many of us carry that mindset still even though we may have different convictions to our previous ones.

Personally, i have been almost militant in my opposition to Jesus Christ because he was a charlatan, a hypocrite and a fascist. Like his father.

I will only articulate these thoughts if i am pushed to do so, particularly if anyone tries to tell me that following these is a good thing.

My heart hurt today at all the wasted years in the ORG.

it was on the history of the morman religion.

one of the docs i work for is morman.

i always try to find something to chitchat with the docs with, so i asked him about his religion.

I often think of the 'wasted' years.

But is 'wasted' the right word, or indeed the right way to look upon our stint in the WTS??

Purps me dear, i've been where you've been and you are at the moment and i'm comig to the conclusion....'NO MORE WASTED ENERGY'!!!!!

Our energies are being 'wasted' when we let the WTS needle us.

Our journeys are all different but we all obviously needed to exorcize something out of our systems. IMO it's part of our path, our polishing. Consider yourself a better polished human being. One that is a finer vintage, one that is an inspiration to others, one that KNOWS better than many, the poisonous pitfalls of giving your freewill over to another entity.

Personally, i'm starting to rise ABOVE the negativity. Listen kid, i have to, you have to, we all have to rise so high above the dead and festering mess that the WTS is. Or else they win!!!!!!!

Shake off your chrysalis girl.
