today while unloading my groceries, i witnessed a random act of kindness... someone in a ford explorer was waiting for a car to leave a parking spot so they could pull in there, they had been waiting for several minutes when finally the car in that spot backed out and left.

before the person in the ford explorer could pull into the spot, a lady in a ford taurus pulled on into that parking space.

the person in the ford explorer who had been patiently waiting, just sat there, they didn't honk or flip the person off, then the lady in the ford taurus realized that the other vehicle had been waiting for that spot and backed out to find another spot, letting the guy who had been waiting have his spot.

A lady came into my shop today in Garland Tx. car overheating and she was crying with a bunch of kids. Saw she had a blown upper radiator hose. I had one in stock I had one of the techs put it on and told her no charge just bring me some chocolate chip cookies,

going to a second DC

one of my friends who still is "faithfull" told me he plans to go back to the dc this weekend, to catch a few talks that he missed due to being on bathroom attendant duty.

did any of you know (or were you prone) to go to the same dc or assembly to catch parts you missed?

frankly even when i was in if i missed it i did not feel the need to make up a meeting.

I did to meet new friends I always volunteered either in the first aid dept. or the cafeteria. It was cool to make friends and have fun we never listened to the talks as a rule they were quite boring usually telling who and who not to associate with and since I was a kid and later a teenager I was never allowed a worldly friend only those in the truth and then only out in field service or at meetings.

for me it is today.

about 80f with blue skies, and a light breeze.

for some reason it takes me back to my days of childhood - i even took a somewhat nostagic drive thru my hometown today.

Yeah I saw it too In Vallejo CA early 60's I was 10 and didn't know what it was but the sister who played the piano was a total nut and was a regular pioneer and never talked to anyone. Another one talked to himself all the time, the wife of our presiding overseer was totally crazy. another was a crippled old gal who had an electrical wheelchair and would run people down with the damn thing. It goes on and on lol

girlfriend pregnate

hi i have just split from my girlfriend who had been disfellowshipped when i meet her things were great.

she got pregnate and we were both thrilled.

now because of her blackmailling mother she has now left me and gone back to the religion.

I can't tell where you are from from your profile, however you might want to seek legal counsel. Her mother may get her to not declare you as the father on the birth certificate, thus you may have future problems unless you get a court order for dna testing to prove paternity.

But as others have said step up and take responsibility and be prepared for an onslaught from well meaning jw's inculcating that you would be bad association. Messing with a young ones mind is a specialty of some families. SO SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL PLEASE if you want to be a part of this childs life

i'm very new to this and please understand, but at one time or another most everyone here was a loyal and faithful witness.. if you disapproove of it or don't fit in as i don't.

why keep pounding at them it is like an obsession.. i would really like to know.

Thanks Lady Lee I agree totally control is their total way. I remember back in 1961 when my older brother was df'd for marrying a pregnant gal not his kid and CO's daughter at that. also their family and ours had been friends since 1945.

He was reinstated in 1963 as was his wife. To this day their oldest does not know my brother is not his biological father. I remember I was counseled not to talk or associate with him. This hurt as he is 14 years my senior. I admired and respected him.

If you are really interested I have a great deal of anger I guess I just suppress it you can look up a famous case from Sacramento Ca. 1985

I was the chief defendant, along with 4 of my employees. My mother in law and wife finally admitted they made the whole thing up and nearly destroyed my life. I was even on a few talk shows about it one was AM San Francisco and Oprah

I was even approached to write a book but for the sake of my children 4 of them all adults now It was best to remain anonymous. But lately I guess the latent anger is bursting forth.

Yes I do want to know not invalidate anyones experiences at all. I was raised in the organization and indoctrinated from birth.

When I divorced my wife and was accused of totally false allegations and went before a judicial committee, people who I thought were my friends all my life bought into her crap except one I left and have never looked back, but I don't feel hatred or antagonism for the org.
