  find jwd?

  i found this website while i was looking for the company that you can get service stuff from, i believed it was the "truth" and was a pioneer at the time, not a pioneer anymore.

  so how did you get here and what has changed in your life since you found this place?.

  That's my take on it, I think you are obsessing too much. Sometimes we fill our minds with all sorts of anxieties for no good reason other that a underlying feeling of self loathing for some inadequacy or past sin. Also you seem to ruminate a lot about jdub teaching, I agree with damselfly that you may want to get checked out for compulsion and anxiety disorders.

  If you feel like reading, check out the 'Feeling Good Handbook' by dr. David Burns. Very helpful book.

  Also, if there are specific Jdub teachings that are bothering you, feel free to post a topic and many will help you with the reasoning.

  Update! The pressure is rising, Elders on my trail!

  here is yet another update on what is going on in my world.

  the elder i talked to a while back just couldn't let it be and now want's to have another discussion.

  he now wants to meet with with another elder from the hall.

  Hey Drew
  I just went through something similar. I spoke to the elder as truthfully as I can without getting into too much detail. One thing I did do was to ask him how he reconciled the generation of 1914. I told them that I gave up so much because of the strong definitiveness of the society about that time period and yet I felt serious reservations about that date. Interestingly, when he started talking about his experience, he sounded like a apostate, criticizing Fred Franz and some of the societies views.

  From now on, when a elder speaks with me, I am going to respectfully and i mean respectfully throw the ball back in their court and have them explain things to me. (note: this may not work if the elder is dishonest dimwit)

  Hold on boys and girls, Bethel Elder Jesus Cano caught onacruse easing himself with his Cano Cam and this was used as hard evidence against him. Elder Cano has been studying this evidence carefully every night for the past two weeks and assured us it is authentic. He has distributed this video to many of his bethel elders friends and they assure us this is onacruse.

  Sorry onacruse, you won't be able to appeal.

  Gregor—A Poster You Should Get to Know

  i just had a very enjoyable, insightful conversation with gregor, "the kool-aid man".

  i learned some things and shared some things, and i think we are both the better for the conversation.. i think it would do everyone a lot of good to occasionally remember that on this forum, due to the limitations of the medium, we can really only see a weird sort of 2-dimensional person (sometimes only a 1-dimensional person) through the posts we read.

  i just wanted to let everyone know i am glad i am getting to know gregor.

  Anyway, just attended a ex-jw get together, very nice. They were relaxed and nice people, not the demons they were painted up to be

  on h20 i posted a justice series with 12 judicial case experiences for the purpose of showing how decisions are made, and to highlight the poor training, lack of education, and often the incompetence shown by watch tower appointed elders.

  even those of us with a measure of secular education were often untrained in essentials of dealing with peoples personal and emotional problems.

  Dell Laptop and Direct TV receiver died same week

  my dell inspiron 8500 that i bought new in june 2003 had 4 motherboards and one memory card replaced under warranty.

  warranty expired in june, last month, and yup!

  motherboard failed again, monday july 10. .

  Personally, I try not to let material things get me too down, they can always be replaced. After dealing with the mountain load of emotional turmoil from the bOrg, everything else is a piece of cake. (ex:My car radio was stolen last month, minor inconvience but really didn't bother me)
