I would really love to come - but my hubby is pretty nervous about me doing "Aposto" things. The silly man thinks I might actually RETURN to the 'dubs if I spend too much time thinking about it. Poor deceived man!

Ok now - it sounds like you guys are having entirely too much fun! I demand you stop it right now or I will have to go to the elders with this............bad association!!
Darn it - wish I was there being bad and associatin' too! I'll just have to go mix myself a drink now and pretend I'm in Dallas
i came across some interesting information last week - according to jewish tradition of the time a woman was pledged to be married around 12-13 years old and married around 13-14 years old.
so this means that mary was probably only 14-15 when she gave birth.. wow - and to think.......i didn't really pull my &hit together until i was 30!.
anyways - i thought it was interesting - some trivia i didn't know before.

i have met a wonderful man but unfortunately he is a jw.
i have never been interested or really ever been around any religion in my life so all of this right now is very fascinating to me.
i have been thinking of studying to become one but am also having a hard time finding anything on the net that is positive about it.
Looks like you've had quite the response!
I have two pieces of advice for you:
(1) If he is a wonderful man - then he deserves to be free from that religion. Don't jump into the quick sand with him - throw him a life line and help him OUT
(2) You indicated that you don't know much about bible. Don't try to learn it from a cult - go to the source itself. Pick up a bible and start by reading the book of John. It's an easy book to read and encompases the message of Jesus.
i read this on a movie discussion forum~~~.
computer buffs in new zealand are "baiting" nigerian fraudsters in a game dubbed the new internet bloodsport, a report said today.
the ultimate goal is to turn the fraud back on the nigerians, but authorities warn the game is dangerous and are urging people not to play.
OMG!! The ebolamonkey site is hillarious!
it shows that christmas is not too far away.
malls are full, and people are buying alot.
people around here aren't too religious.
JH - I have begun to wonder if Babylon is not a symbol for religion but perhaps the literal place. At some point in the future Iraq (original Babylon) could be a center of wealth and power - and a source of fossil fuels for many nations. Makes you wonder.......
The great thing is that I can ponder, talk about, wonder, and yet now I'm not AFRAID of it all like I was before. It's just......well.......interesting to speculate - but I'm not worried about being struck down by God anymore. What a breath of fresh air!
as before in my other posts i apologize if this post is incoherent and if i rambled on too long.
its been a few months since i last posted.
(don't question, some things are not for us to understand, that certain people are chosen-and we have to accept that.
and just talk to the god you believe in.
Reckless is absolutely right. You do not have to be in church to find God - you can find him anywhere and talk to him any time. It sounds to me like it might be time to take a step back, pray to God, and ask HIM where he wants you to go. Then just listen for his answer. Don't run out trying to find a replacement church - take your time - you'll find the right one when the time is right.
ahh, it's so nice to celebrate holidays... 'tis the season to be jolly!.

a young pioneer elder i know informed me that he and his wife have been accepted at bethel.. he's a brilliant young man with a promising future where he is employed.
the job he currently has is as safe and secure as they come and is well above the average income.. in a short period of time he'll throw that all away to go and serve at bethel.. he's expressed to me in the past the desire for children which they will also forgo until the new system.. i've almost expressed my true feeling to him several times but felt that because of his positon in the congregation and his family history of faithful missionaries and bethelites that he would not only label me as a dangerous apostate but also instigate judicial action.. i guess i've answered my own question with the last statement.
it just makes me feel sick to allow him make such an uninformed decision which will affect the rest of his life.. have any of you been faced with similar circumstances?.
Perhaps information on the "truth" about the truth could miraculously appear on his car, in his mail box, or on his door step - anonymously. That way your conscience would feel better that you have provided the information, but you won't be jepordizing your own situation.
i've been posting my progress on my efforts to get microsoft certification which i hope wil be good for work, esp.
when we move abroad.. i passed my exam !
