  GHOSTS, seen any lately?

  haunted places, haunted houses, haunted people, have you had a true encounter with the world beyond?

  i only read about it, i never experienced any of it.

  anyone want to share their experiences, outside of halloween of course.

  Over the years I have had many "experiences" but most are the sort that others can explain away as nonsense. However...and my brother can verify this. (Brother = RevMalk) I once lived in an apartment and I kept seeing and feeling a presence. At first it was fleeting but became stronger as time went on. Rev and his then wife came to visit, I knew this ghost would show up beforehand but did not think to warn others. Rev's ex woke up screaming because she saw a "man" sit on Rev. I asked her to describe what he looked like. Just like what I and others had seen. Shortly after they left I had my current hubby over one evening when we first started dating and his eyes became very big and was speechless. I said "You see him don't you?" He said yes. I asked what he looked like. He described the same man everyone else had seen.

  Coincidence? I don't think so.

  kinda funny re. District Assembly

  over the past few years i would buy my old dub friend and his wife a coffee in the mornings and we would car pool to the district conventions.

  he just wrote me an email and asked if i would be getting the coffee's again for them this year, all tounge in cheek.

  i replied "no problem, just come find me on the assembly grounds.

  Script for the Drama "Beware of Rebellious Talk!"

  i just spent 20 minutes typing a very interesting post from a script of the bible drama given as a dc several years ago of how the wt applies the korah, dathan and abiram account to anyone who speaks in any way against the watchtower, the organization, or the faithful and discreet slave.

  the modern day characters are brother loyal, brother faithful and brother doubter.

  at the end the families of dathan and abiram and lined up in opposition and then the screams begin and the opposers fall backward as if they have swallowed up by the earthquake.

  Something really creepy happened after reading the REQUIRE brochure

  my fiancee's sister was visiting - she was here on business and yes she is a jw.

  she was talking to me about answering some questions i first posed to her about the cult.

  she goes in her bag, where i guess she keeps all those tracts, and pull out the "what does god require of us" brochure.. she was trying to prove to me there was no heaven for all believers, but preached this paradise earth stuff to me.

  You sure do have a way of expressing yourself. Enjoyed the read BTW. This reminds me of a couple in a congregation I was in years ago. We were at a "get together" and they were both laughing and telling the story of when she was trying to get him to become a Jehovah's Witness. They would get into a conversation and then she would go to the grocery store. Sure enough a witness soon was at the door allegedly going door to door. One time, and this is the one that reeled him in...he had told her that one way to prove this was Jehovah's organization was if a JW was to knock on their door. She had to... you guessed it, go to the grocery store. A JW came to the door, a Bible study was started, and the rest is history.

  Did Anything Positive Come From You Being A JW?

  i know this has probably been asked before.. did anything positive come from you being a jw?.

  i personally was never a jw....but i have benefited from darling husband being one.

  from working on all those quick builds and being involved in all those cleaning businesses.

  I remember being in 7th grade and people hating to be on the debate club with me on the marijuana club.

  The only reason I could have "upped" them was because I was a witness who was trained to "banter" (yeah right, it was called badgering).

  I had a brother who was a scientist (who btw, sexually abused me) teach me a lot of what was taught about marijuana at the time.

  I blew the others out of the water.

  Mates that trash the other parnter in front of the children

  how do you feel about it when a formally together couple split up and one of them talks really bad about the other to the children just to get the kids on thier side and to turn them against the other in revenge to sooth hurt feeling?

  I hate it!

  When I was divorced I swore that I would never do that.

  However...I did do that on a number of occasions with my adult children. At the time I stated how I felt, it was to my best friends talking about my own hurt. Did not go over well. I now try to keep my opinions to myself.

  My (our) site has to do with woodburning. Yep, you guessed it...a site on how to do art (by burning) on wood. The same thing you did as a kid in school, boy scouts,...etc.

  BTW, we now have shops where you can buy items from the artist's. And we also sell woodburning tools, and instructional material. In fact we have online instructions for anyone interested in learning to do woodburnings.

  DoubleEdge, just an inquiring question. Why do you believe that?

  As you know many of us are on a quest to heal and some are here to believe in something. Something that has been ingrained in us not to do by the WTBTS. I am only asking to get more info.

  My belief is that he did indeed walk the earth. Do I believe that he was the son of God? Not necessarily. Part of my thoughts on this is based on the thought that possibly he was here and fit the description but was not necessarily the right person. Am I making any sense? LOL
