  Who has or has not been invited to the memorial?

  well the memorial is tmrw night and time is running out to give out invitations.

  (au time that is...) .

  last night my mother asked me if i've heard from any of my old jw friends.

  Yes, I was invited to the KH for the Memorial. I will not be going, however I did thank the brothers for coming over to invite me. I suppose they do not know how I feel about the Watchtower although I have expressed my distrust with my JW friends.
  

  anewme, How beautiful to have a Remembrance Day of Christ in the Canyon. I can see you there with my minds eye, the Sun slowly going down in the West reflecting on the clouds or a clear sky with purples, reds, pinks and yellows. The huge bright Moon rising in the East, luminating the ground. An awesome painted picture of God's glory to all life on earth. God and Christ will surely bless you for your wonderful thoughts and prayer.

  I will be celebrating here at home with my Hubby. I will have a decent glass of red wine with unleavened bread. Say a prayer in Thanks to God and Christ before and after partaking. Then have our supper and finish the bottle of wine with dinner.

  Are there any funny stories in the bible?

  i posted on a thread earlier that i'm sure jesus had a sense of humour.. i clicked submit post.. then i thought, yeah i'm sure he did but he didn't tell any jokes did he?

  in fact i can't think of anything funny in the whole bible.. here's your chance to post a bible story that gets you roaring with laughter...

  Well, Ballistic, the punch line is: Bowing down to a craved God made of wood and asking it to Save the one who carved it. That to me is funny!

  i wonder if god really drowned millions of people like the bible says for simply eating and drinking and not taking any note?

  This always made me laugh. You find it in the book of Isaiah.

  "A carpenter cuts down cedars; or s/he chooses a holm tree or an oak and lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest; s/he plants a cedar and the rain nourishes it.

  "Then it becomes fuel for a human being, s/he takes a part of it and warms himself, s/he kindles a fire and bakes bread; also s/he makes a god and worships it, s/he makes it a graven image and falls down before it.

  "Half of it s/he burns in the fire; over the half s/he eats flesh, s/he roasts meat and is satisfied; also s/he warms herself and says, "Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire!"

  but now it seems that they have all gone away.. assuredly they are all still lurking here (hello) to see what we are talking about but they can no longer claim their time posting here as field work.

  i posted a little about this last night but i figured i would post the rest for you guys, this is the conversation that i had last night with the sister that studied with me.

  she called me and wanted to know if i had plans for the memorial, i told her that i would not be going this year and the following is the conversation we had:.

  jw: oh no, you can't miss the memorial, if you can't make it to the one in your hall why don't you cme to ours?.

  Two brothers from the cong (one an Elder) that I attended came by to Invite me to the Memorial and to tell me my best friend from the cong is moving out West.....I would have invited them in except I was still in PJs.
  

  
  
  I was surprised to see them as the friend that is moving knows how I feel about the Hpypocrisy of the Borg (pedophiles, UN/DPI, Malawi/Mexico) and surely she has told everyone by now.
  

  
  
  It is not an easy thing to tell the Brothers and Sisters just how you feel about the Borg because there they stand on your door step with a warm smile on their face and sincere concern for you spiritually. But those close to me that I have told, accuse me of attacking the Watchtower org. even in the face of proof. The change of TONE that lola speaks of is not friendly at all. I always thought of the WTS and God as separate but some seem to think that God and the Borg are one and the same. Hence, that is where the problem lies.
