What's the funniest thing you did lately?
by JH inyesterday i was right next to my living room closet, which is about 2 feet away from my neighbours living room closet, since we live on the same floor.
let me tell you that i can hear everything on her side and she can also hear everything on my side when we are this close to one another.. so, unexpectedly, i made a very loud fart, and about 2 seconds later i heard my neighbour fooling around in her closet, 2 feet away.
you guessed it, she surely heard my very loud fart

Newbie question; Why do JW hypocrites PROVE that they're a cult?
by psycsnacha inhello, i discovered this site yesterday and have been on it for hours!
i've been studying with jehovah's witnesses for 4 years and quite frankly love it.
a bit of background, i am a college educated young man (have a bs in psychology) and am currently a medical student.

The Malawi/Mexico issue was the most disgusting betrayal of JW members and the reason I left for good! http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/31982/1.ashx

Taking the Veil off Jehovah's Witnesses
by uninformed ini would like to start a discussion topic (probably has already been one) on who or how to approach friends and others that are jehovah's witnesses and possible arguments that well get them to examine their belief system.. i have tried without much success, but even though i previously thought these people were "thinking christians" i found that not to be the case.. .
here would be an example: "i try to approach jw's with an unbelieving mate that is having marital problems.".
in all my years at the wt, i was kind of proud that people would call me a "good speaker", or a "fine teacher".

It is simple....when you speak of the Watchtower in negative terms to an active JW...they think that you are pushing another religion, another belief on them. I am an exJW and even I get turned off if someone starts talking about how great their religion or belief is and how right it feels to them.
You might not be pushing a belief but that is how they feel anyway, and so the Dark Veil of closed eyes and ears by your friends.
It's not easy.

Cauliflower---
Sweet and Nutty
The milk, sweet, almost nutty flavor of cauliflower is at its best from December through March when they are in season and most plentiful in your local markets.
Cauliflower lacks the green chlorophyll found in other members of the cruciferous family of vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and kale, because the leaves of the plant shield the florets from the sun as they grow. It has a compact head (called a "curd"), usually about six inches in diameter that is composed of undeveloped flower buds. The flowers are attached to a central stalk.

Our PO was out witnessing one Saturday morning with a new boy - Bro. Rouse. The householder raised his voice very loud to show off to his neighbours who were gardening in the neighbouring front yard "No, I wouldn't touch those magazines with a forty foot barge pole!" Newly baptised Bro Rouse leans close and whispers something in the guys ear. The guy goes a tad white, turns on his heal, ducks inside and comes back with a 20cent piece. The transaction complete, Bro Rouse and Bro Culhill walk out toward the gate. Bill can't wait to ask what was whispered that changed the guys mind?
Big Bro Rouse: I just said "if you don't take these magazines I'm gonna stick 'em up your arse!"A JWD Urban Legend...

Freemasonry and the congregation
by Satans little helper inare there any freemasons who post here?
if you don't want to add to the thread then feel free to pm me.. one of my close friends is a mason and has encouraged me to consider joining but everything i have known about the masons in the past has been negative - all bigoted jw speak.
from what i have researched they are a fraternity who hold near christian moral values and cannot understand the vitriol the witnesses hold for them.. i have also seen pictures of rutherford's grave in a masonic cemetary so cannot understand why they would aim such negativity against a group which their founder belonged to.. can anyone shed any light on this?
