Actually Grissom, why don't you tell us a bit about yourself and why you have such an attitude problem. Are you working for Bethel trying to throw a spanner into the works on this forum.
Come on and be a man (or woman)and let us know who you are and where you're from. You should have nothing to hide since you are obviously such a 'strong' jw.

The faithlessness here
by grissom6471 init is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.
what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.
and a great amount of stupidity.

Glad to see someone else had the same reaction as me Mary. Was starting to think that I'd been a bit harsh!
And Glissom you're nothing but a bully with no concern for the feelings of others. How dare you make all those assumptions!! -

Hi Heretic, glad you're making progress with your family. I stand no chance with mine, they're so strong and so many of them!
I think I would need to make detailed notes on all the jw lies with factual back ups to even start a conversation as I would just get tongue tied and come unstuck in my arguments. My mum would probably start crying thinking I am an apostate. I wish I could though as I hate the fact that they're all so brainwashed.
Also, hi to Hopie! I love what you did, going back to get your family out and very happy that you succeeded. Welcome to the forum. XXX -

Should I admit to JWs that I am disfellowshipped?
by jwfacts ini know about 2000 jws in sydney, and have 50 that are tax clients, so barely a week goes by without bumping into someone i know.
it seems that few of them realise that i am disfellowshipped because they talk freely to me.
last week i accidently sat next to an elder on the train and we engaged in small talk for over 30 minutes.. should i admit to these people that i am not a jw?.

Don't say anything, otherwise you're just sinking to their level.

How much is the Watchtower worth?
by dido inhi, am relatively new on here, so haven`t seen any postings about how much the society is worth, but would really be interested to know.
what i can`t understand is what they are doing stockpiling money, when they could give some to the poor bro`s in africa etc.
give to poor pioneers, and hard up ones in congregations.

Hi Dido, Bubble here, how are you?
I would love to know the answer to that question too. Having recently visited New York I was staggered to see how much property the JW's actually own. It's worth millions and millions. That's just their real estate, I'd love to know how much they've got in the 'bank' too!! -

Happy Birthday.
You're sooo lucky, you have your whole life ahead of you. Have fun!!!
If you lived in the UK you'd have been drinking legally for 3 years. Why is it 21 in the USA? Don't they trust you or something? -

Say something horrible.............but true about your kids ..............
by vitty inalthough, the complaints may be valid and sad.
many posters here have vented about their wicked parents.. i think its time we parents have a post dedicated to saying something horrid about our kids.
it maybe something you have wanted to say about them that was in the past or happening now.

My kids are 16 and 14 at the moment and they are both vile. They are both lazy, couldn't care less about school work, they both smoke and they steal money from me.
They also have some lovely personality traits which I'm hoping will soon supercede the horrid ones.
In the meantime, would anyone like to adopt? LOL -

What "Rules" Did You Have In Your Congregation?
by minimus inin our congregation, we had a theocratic ministry school overseer make the sisters stand while giving their talks because he would counsel them on a point of counsel having to do with speaking to the "householder".
(i forget that exact point of counsel) so the sisters knew they had to follow this imbecile's quirks or get a "w".
another rule that was eventually abandoned too, was that only elders and ministerial servants could offer prayer at the kingdom hall......any rules that you had to deal with??

We weren't allowed to eat sweets during the meeting. So after 2 hours everybody had breath that you could strip paint with!!!
