In ref. to child abuse
by jw in.
ok all time to get real.
child abuse is not limited to jw's.. if you truly want to stop child abuse first start with the family , and be honest we all have a relative that is a pedophile.. then protect your family from stranger danger.. don't just isolate to jw's.. expand and truly stop the child abuse world wide.

Hmm, well the WTBTS needs to find intelligent people to post then, because JW spoke in circles and sounded like they spoke to the little tiny voices in their head way too much.

Yeah, I get all this stuff confused. I remember having to read Then is Finished the Mystery and it never made any sense. I would get things confused with what JWs use to believe to what they currently believe. It was like Soup of the Day but for religious people.

How did your parents punish you?????(Fluff)
by whyamihere innow i know the topic may be thought of as abuse scenario, however it is not.....(i am sick of hearing about abuse).
i threw a party at my house(parents came home early)....anyway, as a punishment i was to sand and stain shingles for the house.
this was a huge job it took me 2 weeks to get it all done.

It's funny what you remember after you think about things for a while. My father who passed away when I was young was a df'd guy. One day my mom was really pissed about something at all of us (not my brother because he had moved out to his own place by then). So as punishment she made my dad take my older sister and me for the day. Well it was around x-mas and my dad was pissed that he had to haul around two girls all day long and what would he do with two little girls. So he took us shopping and told us that we could get whatever we wanted because it was for x-mas. When we returned to the house, my sister and I ran all the way up stairs screaming and laughing because we were so happy. My mom asked what the deal was because she was certain that we would have come back crying and my dad would have come back mad because of having us two brats. Instead, she finds out that he dropped a load of cash on what he called "Chrismas presents". So not only was that day a great day between a father and his daughters, but she technically paid for the presents as well because he wrote the checks out of their joint bank account.

Quote: Ohhh, I've wasted my life
Episode: Treehouse of Horror VIII (10/26/97)
Context on the show: While reading a comic and loudly lecturing Aquaman on his romantic choices, the Comic Book Guy sees a missle bearing down on him and comes to sad terms with his impending death.
Real life uses: Useful at virtually any moment of self realization or self awareness.
I also feel that South Park has a lot (even more) applicable sayings or episodes that relate to JWs, ex-JWs or any fantical religion. Anyone else here have a favorite humerous sayings that they think their fellow believers/non believers would enjoy.

Was this the same thing when Taze thought that the prophets of old (Abram, Moses, etc.,) were suppose to return?

Interesting SF, how after you pointed out the different IP, JW disappeared and no more postings.
Hellrider - I WONDERED THE SAME THING, what do the Menedez bros have to do with anything.

I thought that JWs were of the belief that once Christ died that the curtain was torn and the nation of Israel was no longer the favored nation. That whole proselyte thing. But then again, I have been out a long time, so I may be way off base.

Diet, exercise, post inury -- any suggestions?
by Madame Quixote inthe week before i broke my foot, i resolved to join weight watchers and start exercising.
now, i'm still planning to do it, but have a great excuse not to bother with either one right now.
and in order to deal with anything, i have to go up and down my staircase to get outside!

Before starting any exercise routine, you should consult your physician, especially considering you have an on-going injury. If you were to exacerbate an existing injury, your recovery can and will be compromised. I am sure if you check with the doctor whose care you are currently under, they can suggest non-traumtic exercise. I would not recommend you following any suggestions from anyone other then your physician. Even if people have had a similar experience, each individual's injury and healing process is different.
I am sure it is frustrating to be side lined when you were hoping to start an exercise routine. Imagine how much more frustrating it would be if you injury yourself worse by failing to consult with your doctor first before starting an exercise program.
Good luck and healthy healing.

I got my driver's license early at 15. Long story, but short of it was when I was a teenager, if you were a straight A student and you had a person of influence vouch for you, you could get your license at 15. Anyways, for every minute I was late getting home, that was how many days I had to go without a car. It did not matter what the story was, traffic, flat tire, car jacking. Let me tell you the worst was 30 days without my car. It sucked.
