  How Do You Handle Compliments?

  today i was followed around, complimented extensively and asked out by a guy at wal-mart (they have good prices on cake),,,i sort of felt like bolting, i felt extremely embarassed (and said as much) even though i was flattered.

  it's nice to be complimented, at the same time i'm all giggly and squirmy,,, like they're telling me that i've got a head shaped like a walnut rather than...whatever.

  do you take compliments well?

  Will Vinyl Make A Comeback?

  was just flicking through the june issue of 'silicon chip' magazine (yes i'm a geek .

  as there is no needle or anything making contact with the record, there is no wear or scratches happening during play.

  1878 Herald of the Morning PDF

  recently, i obtained photocopies of issues of herald of the morning for the year 1878 and 1879. the issues i have for 1878 are from june to december.

  i think there were some issues issued earlier that year but i've been unable to verify that or obtain any copies.

  for those who do not know, the herald of the morning was the magazine c.t.

  good morning everyone "happy thursday!!",.

  just reading another thread, and it made me think of a question i could never answer as a jw.

  how is it that when your hall wants to build, you recieve the "loan" from the society, but then you have to pay the loan back with intrest??!!.

  I'm not sure how the loan process works. Maybe someone in the know can help us here. Does the Society keep the money in a bank and the loan then comes from the bank? With this method, the interest would be paid to the bank.

  if evolution were untrue, how come genetic studies point to an african.

  origin.eg it has been worked that the vesikela khung!

  who live in the western caprivi area of namibia had the oldest 'male lines' in the world(119,000 years approxiametly).. compare that to the approxiametly 6,000 years claimed by watchtower!.

  An author by the name of Stephen Batchelor has helped me understand this concept clearly. He is writing from a 'Buddhist' perspective, but don't let that fool you. His writing is not bound to any extrinsic religious dogma.

  Revolution vs. Evolution

  social not biological.. i've been thinking about the differences between revolution and evolution but i cant understand why they are different.. example: religion.

  revolution: communist revolution ended religion in eastern europe.. evolution: our society is slowly changing to a less religious people.. revolution: usually violent and not permanent.

  evolution: non violent (though there can be conflict involved) long lasting, usually a permanent change.. .

  i think it would be great if the members of this forum would regularly call the society and waste their time with foolish and not so foolish questions.

  i think this can be a great way to expose witnesses to subversive thoughts.

  for example, i call the farm 845-744-6000, and say, "my question is about why the wt is an ngo of the united nations.
