I do not criticise ANYONE for posting here, specially not those looking for answers to questions. All of us who have been baptised Witnesses, have more or less been in the position where you are now, and like yourself, some still are.When they get the answers they require, and decide to stay or go, usually it is a good thing, and I support whatever decision they make as indivuduals, funnily enough, I have absolutely no axe to grind against integrity and sticking to ones beliefs.
The situation with NickL,aka df'shipped is not of the above criteria.
Of course, he is entitled to express his viewpoint on any DB or forum, and as a person of the same upbringing, I am entitled to point out the utter hypocrisy according to JW code of ethics in the presence here,
........given his stated mission to seek reinstatement....
and his, as I see it, perceived arrogant duplicity in seeking association with members of this db, and along the way, stick it to us the society way, but escape via reinstatement and turn around and continue to condemn those who gave love and space....it will happen.
The hypocrisy I talk about here, is not of honest hearted searching, how could ANY enquiry into a life changing course be hypocritical? ...
well, now that you have take it personal, I will apologise to you for any wording or lack of explanation that made you not understand my meaning....and the scheme of things, we are NOT the keepers of others consciences.....but you know, it is because of double standards when a person KNOWS he wants one thing and goes against it..like DF....that screws up all the efforts of honest hearted elders in the congregations...and thats a shame for any organisation.
If this doesnt clarify it finally, then that is tough coz Im done with it...I always read peoples posts very carefully before I comment...if you read his and mine, perhaps you will see where Im coming from...
I have no love for people that will stick it to me down the line...especially when you see it coming..

by TR inthis is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.
we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.
we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

As an existing player in the church big league, I of course am open to an offer to switch sides for the appropriate fee. My need are simple, a house, car, RV, satelite tv, 13 weeks paid vacation a year and I only work on Sundays....apart from that, the obligatory rule will remain in place, ie, congregational worship in the form of hand kissing, invites home for Sunday dinner, gifts of money or cheques...
I would need a clause, yes just one, that once I am established within the GB, that dissendents like MDS are not allowed to join, he must start his own religion and work his way up like what I did...sigh...did I mention the swimming pool..?

Path, others..me thinks you have perhaps missed the point. Your inherent niceness and tolerance for all views has overlooked the double standard at work here.
Do I mind someone sticking up for the WTBTS? absolutely not...I admire genuine belief and integrity, i despise double standards and elder mentality.
But now wait a minute..here we have a d/fed person who has manifestly stated his dedicated mission for reinstatement, and in the process via his words and actions, indicated that those of us who are not taking this course will once again be shunned after his acceptance back.....
For him, his presence here is hypocritical. Once reinstated, the mentality of the process will make for a shunning of all of us, and in the rare occurence that he does CONTINUE to have association with some, will further invalidate and reinforce the hypocrisy of being a member of an organisation he does not really believe in.
you guys think about it....its this double standard and warped thinking that made most of you leave in the first place....and nothing you say will change his mind....
anyways, enough said on the subject, I will just grit my teeth at the invalidation process that will continue...and watch when yet another one returns and becomes "reconciled Df'ed, the apostate slayer"

You know you should not be here by the standards of Jehovahs Witnesses for one intending to be reinstated..
disfellowshipped..As a person put out of the congregation, you have no right to defend a policy of acceptance within this auspicious group of ne'er do wells....I dislike your mindset intensely, for you are the very essence of the double standards of some Jehovahs Witnesses....
If you are going to stand up for being a Witness, i say to you GET OUT of mixing with the unclean thing....er...us...because you are right in one respect, we will discuss HONEST issues...not double standards....
