I agree with Kid-a, sbf is leading a double life, i can understand people coming on here who are trying to fade, but not for someone who wants to still be part of that `evil cult` which i still believe it is.

I don`t like to use the name jehovah because it reminds me too much of the jw`s, i prefer to think of `god` as a creator, rather than someone who is head of a religion, as i have no time for any organised or otherwise religion.

When 2 nosy elders came around to see (check up on me) , they were so surprised at how well i looked, they were expecting, (or hoping) that i would look ill and depressed etc. and were disappointed, (i could tell) that i was doing so well in my life!

How good does if feel to you not attending meetings anymore?

the last year i have been fading and haven't been to the kh since the memorial.
i can't tell you how it has been such a heavy burden lifted off my shoulders not to have to worry about so many meetings!!!

Experfectdaughter, snap, its my b/day tomorrow too, but am a bit older than you! Ii can understand where `30 years a w/tower slave` comes from, all those bloody meetings, i don`t miss them one bit. Have been out nearly 5 years now, and love having my freedom to do what i want and not have to stick to times etc. The best thing is the lie ins on the weekend, and just being lazy sometimes, it`s great!

why does it seem that when i read the threads from folks in the uk it seems they are preoccupied with a lot of research into the wts and changes into their beliefs?
why not just let it go and go on with life.

When you have devoted 25 years to something that you then find out is a load of bullshit, you are entitled to feel angry, plus the fact a lot of lives have been affected by being controlled by this evil cult. I personally have had to prove to myself that it is not true and it is not easy to just `let it go` when you have a large chunk of your life messed up by it.

Hadenuf- the reason this subject was brought up was because it was toplical, and no-one is taking the mick out of fat people, but all subjects should be able to be discussed, that is freedom of speech, and i thought that this site was one of the places we were able to do that after being suppressed for so long. As i said in my opening post, most people are overweight, the minority probably aren`t, so there is no reason to take it personally,

FF i just stuffed mine, spare ribs with egg rice, followed by a raspbery pavlova, emmmm it was delicious. Parakeet, yes, it could be the `BIG` announcement, there again, you would think that they would tell them to put weight on, considering the end is so close, they could live off their own fat during the great trib, saves stockpiling!

I was thinking, if they did try to enforce it, how would they lose the weight, i mean, look how slow they walk from door to door, and what else is there left to do but eat? You can`t get involved in anything as it takes you away from selling mags etc.so you have to go on f/service and after a couple of doors have coffee, then another couple of doors, breakfast, then coffee, then lunch, then tea, then dinner, then cocoa, then supper.Sitting at meetings, sitting studying, personal studying sitting, bible studies sitting, no wonder they are getting obese!
