In the first picture that Danny posted from the "paradise lost" book It shows the earth opening up and entire families being swallowed up. Of course there is not one JW among them. There is a little girl clutching her doll, falling to her painful death just because her parents were not JW's. The GB masters of mind control cartoonists excel at scaring the beejezuz out of the jdub recruits to keep them in line.

I remember looking at those same pictures when I was a full fledged dub and I did not feel any compassion for those being killed. Now it brings tears to my eyes just looking at this artwork. I dread looking at that little girl falling into the hole

I can only hope and pray that the GB gets swallowed up in the same manner, never to be found agian.

Can you be disfellowshipped for missing the Memorial ?

If you are just a dub then the the BOE won't notice much

It depends on high up the ladder you are. If you are a ministerial servant you will get demoted back to a dub. If you are an overseer you will be DFed unless you have a good reason - like your wife dying

I can't imagine attending that rubbish, sitting and watching the frauds drink wine . How repulsive and offensive. Let christ celebrate his own death because evidently it was his father who killed him. BOOK 'EM DANNO!

Another Memorial Post -- with question

i have a friend (jw) who has severe multiple sclerosis so bad that she is essentially confined to a bed.

now, she has one of those electric "chrstopher reeves-looking" wheelchairs but requires someone (usually her sons or brother -- not jw) to physically pick her up and put her in it.. she hasn't been to a memorial in a couple of years, since her condition got so bad.

she told me the other night that some of the congregation are gonna bring her to the one this wednesday the 12th.

i need the number of remnant for the last 15 years, preferably from the "year book" and the average age of the remnant in 2006. my initial work shows the population figures are tampered with.. i think i can pinpoint what the wts is doing here and how they come up with the figures they do.. thanks for any help here

more work done on the spread sheet today

got the core equation working and am finding the trends in the curve "interesting". This is different math for me. The curve is so nuts that only a deliberate manipulation of it by the WTS seems to be the reason why it is taking a bit more time than I thought..

The curve fluctuates around 1975 proving some of the remnant left around that time. Also the governing body coming to power in 1976 causes some changes here.

digging in old books

i'm new on this board and currently an inactive jw.

although lurking for several months i only just registered.

i was wondering if any of you took the trouble of going through old books of the wtbts and if it made you come to any conclusions.
