  Not Having Kids in 'This System....'

  one of my former bs conductors and her husband decided when they got married, they wouldn't have any kids 'in this system'.

  i know the world could be better, but i see no reason not to have children if that's what your wishes really are....and you're able to for that matter.

  she just turned 34 and really wants to have a child.

  Though kids are a lot of work, they bring so much joy too.

  I feel for all the witnesses, who did give up having kids for the sake of the organization. So sad.

  are you able to tell if someone is a jw just by looking or listening to a person?

  what are the give away signs that make you just know that they're a witness?

  After so much time being involved with witnesses, I think it is fairly easy for any of us to pick one out of the crowd. I spotted several yesterday at Costco. Perfect time from coming out of the Sunday meeting.

  when i read some comments here, it seems that some can be so full of themselves that if they are disagreed with, they will mock, castigate, or be elitist with their condescending opinions.

  I personally don't look down on others just because this disagree with me, or I with them. I enjoy learning other viewpoints, even if I ultimately don't agree.

  Hotel Tipping at Assembly Time

  does anyone remember any stories related to hotels not wanting to do business with the witnesses anymore because the witnesses were leaving literature in their rooms rather than tipping maid service?.

  What a pathetic way to leave a tip.

  I think a lot of hotels didn't want to cater to the witnesses because they actually do not make good guests. Many are selfish, and just plain piggish.

  this is impressive.

  i've now been watching tv for 1 and a half hours and have yet to see *anything* happen.

  will they play any sport at all or just 'tit about' all evening?

  I didn't find the game too exciting, but at least the Patriots won!

  Half time show was fantastic. Would rather watch that any day than Janet Jackson or Timberlake.

  just a hi to all newbies.

  thunder and i are stil in school and been busy with the grandbaby.

  our son is doing great (he turned 20 today) and our daughter is doing great too (she turned 22 in nov) i will post some pics of our book signing coming up the 13. otherwise just wanted to say hi

  dubya himself would've been stunned by singer prince's uptight security when he chowed at cuvee, the trendy cafe on la's robertson blvd., where a-list stars like paris hilton,robert de niro, naomi campbell, debra messing, etc.

  Amuses me that someone like him thinks himself as a witness. He doesn't even come close to living the normal witness lifestyle. If he had to, I don't think he would care for it too much.

  The King James Version is Perfect

  i don't know about anybody else,but i love the beautiful king james version.it contains no error and is perfect.there are no mistranslations in it,and none can be proven.i don't read or study anything else for spirituality.im like a tree that is planted by the water,i shall not be moved,amen,amen,hallelujah,praise jesus!!!!

  I have read from several different bibles, and I enjoy most better that the WTS version. I personally like the study bibles, with information on the sides of the scriptures.

  Any religion that has its own bible, is suspect in my eyes.

  there was always the talk of the new order, or new system.. but did you ever take the time to wonder what it would really be like?.

  Would it look like it big park? Would it be country like, with acres of land per home? Would there be cities? Movies? TV? Cars? Roads?Airplanes? Boats? Football? Chess? Restuarants?

  All the pictures in the magazines and books showed a big park like area, with people playing with animals. What about all the stuff just listed above?

  Would it just be pure boredom?

  To be perfectly honest, I never day dreamed about it. I remember 1986 being declared the year peace and security, and the WTS jumping all over that. I was 18 then, and I got pissed, because I thought maybe Armegeddon would come, and I would miss out on all the fun of regular life.
