I pretty much didn't have any issue with doing anything that I really wanted to do anyways. And I sure as hell was not going to go out and confess to it.

Memorial

i was just wonder ing whose going to the memorial this year.. i got this email from my uncle today and i've decided i'm going only so my kids can see their family.
if you love jehovah miss your extended family want your children to have everlasting life its not hypocritical.

I imagine most witnesses would just say that WWJD is just a worldy saying, and dismiss any further talking.
That being said, yes, I agree, that Jesus would not have shunned his family.

If the WT were to "reform" would you stay or go back?

i know many who post here are still active jw's or ones who were df'd, but may have not totally left the belief system.
many have trouble with the methods and policies of the wt concerning dfing, restrictions, blood, local elders etc.

special announcement today?
by freedom96 inmy teenage son is visiting this week, and was concerned that he was missing the "special announcement" being made today.
he was very suprised that i already knew about the awake being only once a month.
i told him i knew of that several months ago.

He was very suprised that I already knew about the Awake being only once a month. I told him I knew of that several months ago. He knows I have nothing to do with the organization anymore, and was shocked to know I knew before he did. Of course, he has no idea how.
But if anyone knows, it would be most helpful!

What Is The "Bottom Line" Regarding The "Truth"/ Organization???

is it all about 'just do for us and expect nothing in return'?
is it that they really don't care about anything but their property and their real estate?

You have a few at the top, who thrive on the power, and probably would be basically useless in the real world.
Then you have those that work for them, who probably worship the ground these guys walk on, and know nothing else themselves to have anything to compare what they do to anything else.
After that, you have a bunch of rank and file, with different responsibilities and levels within the organization, and just don't think for themselves.
