I think that older people should be tested on a regular basis, and when they simply can't pass the test, then it is over for their driving career.

At what age should a person loss their drivers licence?
by free2beme inin my area, in the last year, there has been six people killed in three separate accidents by someone over the age of 70. in two cases, the elderly people lived while the other drivers did not.
in one case the elderly person was killed, as well as the people they hit.
of the six people killed, two were children under the age of five.

If you celebrate Christmas, do you belief in Christ?
by free2beme ini celebrate christmas each year and do no consider myself a christian in any way.
my spouse does not either and we are raising our son to be non-christian.
so why do i celebrate christmas, because i can.

There certainly are those who are not Christian that celebrate Christmas. It should be enjoyed by all who wish to share in the enjoyment of it.
However, there are many who do in fact celebrate it as a Christian holiday, with Christ at the center of it. In this day and age, Christmas is hardly considered a pagan holiday.

Would you give blood now? Would you accept it?
by sass_my_frass inhow do you feel about blood now?
the thought of taking a blood transfusion still gives me the creeps... but now i know that i'd take one if my life was on the line.
i'm thinking about giving blood too.

I always would have taken blood if it meant saving my life, even when I was a witness. I would do it for my family too, and always would have. I could never have watched my wife or children die because of not taking the transfussion.

I thought it was funny at the assemblies how many people were half asleep and got startled when the clapping started, and they then joined in with it, though they had no idea what it was for.

Ghost, Spirits and the Dead
by free2beme ini always had a hard time as a witness, accepting their view on death.
i actually think they offer a sad view on death that leaves an empty and depressing view for those left behind.
i remember the comments, "they are asleep now," all so well.

I grew up in a home that had a ghost. There is much more to life as we know it, and I don't feel the need to have it all answered now. I know what my family saw and experienced, and that was real.

by Ianone inalthough i am not a catholic i found this movie to be the most powerful and uplifting thing i have ever watched.
for those of you who watched it, how did it make you feel?

I thought the movie was excellent, though very heavy. Very well made, makes it all seem much more real.

I disliked going on return visits more than the original door to door work. Now, someone else's return visit was just fine, as it took a few minutes to get there, and I didn't have to talk, and half of the time I didn't have to get out of the car.
