  What Do You Think About "Jehovah's" Organization?

  as witnesses, you are constantly bombarded with the expression,"jehovah's organization".... if we don't believe in jehovah's organization, we are doomed.

  we must put faith in jehovah's organization.

  jehovah's organization is the modern day "ark of survival"........these types of expressions have been drilled in the heads of jehovah's witnesses for decades.

  i have just come across this website and was amazed to read to many similar experiences to what i went through with the 'loving' congregations of jehovah's witnesses.

  i have now been gone 4 years but after reading some experiences i realise that the pain they caused still remains.

  i am now quite angry at the way they control your life and brainwash you - i am so glad i finally saw what was happening and got out.

  i 'bout pissed my pants on thursday night...... i caught a snippet of the naacp image awards on bet (wished i had watched the whole thing).

  anyhow, i guess venus and serena got some kind of award but i don't know what the title was.. serena's remark to the audience and their fans?

  I think through the ages parents have always been worried and concerned about their children. However, I agree with previous postings that this is the best time ever to live.

  Our children are going to experience awesome things, as technology expands and we come to a better understanding of life.

  This is an exciting time to live. As long as some idiot terrorists don't blow us up beforehand.

  SixofNine- I agree, war is a big deal. Little causes; I am talking about ALL the stuff the "stars" whine about. Such as not wearing leather, not eating meat, don't wear fur, etc.

  Then you have idiots like Sean Penn who go to the middle east. Like what the hell is he going to do about it?

  To clarify:

  I do believe in free speech.

  However, these celebrities are not spokesmen for the average person. The fact is, that due to their profession, they are given a microphone to talk into and sometimes speak and show their stupidity and ignorance. Some, do speak well, but is far from the usual. But these bonehead celebrities confuse the fact that we enjoy their talent with whether or not we want to hear them talk about current events or issues.

  As I said earlier, act, sing, dance, entertain us. But shut the hell up, especially on topics that they know little about. Just because they are famous, doesn't give them the right to stuff down our throats their little causes.

  To touch on an earlier post, my name here represents freedom of choice, happiness in living in a nation that allows that, freedom from religious cults, freedom in my pursuit in business, freedom to enjoy my friends and family the way I choose, overall freedom in life.

  May all experience freedom in their lives.

  I do support the war, and I support the troops. I sincerely wish the best for them all. I hope it ends quickly, with little loss of life.

  Do You Still Feel Obliged To Answer To The Elders?

  for some, there is real fear that they must speak to the elders if they decide to stop by your house .some don't know what they will do if the elders begin questioning them.

  what will you do if they want to talk to you?

  Ultimately no, I don't feel as though I must answer up to the elders. Hard though, after so many years of being taught that they were an authority figure.

  Part of me wants to have a showdown with them, the other half says to let it go.

  All being said, it just isn't worth it. So I just don't talk.
