There is nothing unique about your family. I sent my neices and nephews a card with a monetary gift. I did not receive one thank you note or even a phone call. They are not religious at all.

Cano Is The Tip Of the Iceberg
by metatron inis the watchtower organization filled with child molesters?
maybe not - but the cano incident should make us think about an allied problem,.
namely, general corruption and rot.. many years ago, it was not unknown to find strange photos and other materials in a bethel brother's room, after he died unexpectedly.. that doesn't prove that there is a massive problem with child molestation.

I would say 5% of any group there are sexual deviants. Consider the fact that in the USA there are about 250,000 sex crimes committed with only about 95,000 resulting in arrest and about 83,000 successful prosecutions. Sex crimes are not a JW problem and are not unique to the sect. Sex crimes occur in every group and every city.

"Theocratic Warfare" - An Apostate Strategy?
by slimboyfat inwho here had ever heard of this so-called 'doctrine' of "theocratic warfare" when you were a jehovah's witness?
who has not heard of the so-called doctrine now that you are an apostate?
so why have witnesses never heard of 'doctrine', yet apostates seem to promote it as the last word on witness standards of honesty, integrity and decency?

Since you are not a JW or associate how do you know this? If I start telling you the practices of Muslims based on the reading only of the Koran would you believe me to be an authority on Islam?

When Jesus faced execution did he lie to the Roman and Jewish authorities to save his life?
Matt 25:11 NWT Jesus now stood before the governor; and the governor put the question to him: “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied: “You yourself say [it].” 12 But, while he was being accused by the chief priests and older men, he made no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him: “Do you not hear how many things they are testifying against you?” 14 Yet he did not answer him, no, not a word, so that the governor wondered very much.
There is no excuse for being untruthful in any matter, unless you serve Satan the Father of Lies.
John 8:44 NWT YOU are from YOUR father the Devil, and YOU wish to do the desires of YOUR father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie]. -

SDA grew out of the Millerette Movement and was founded by James & Ellen G. White. She was thought to be a prophet, but it appears she plargized a lot of her writings according to various web sites. Do a Google search for her, SDA and the Adventist movement.
The Branch Davidians split from the SDA in the 1930's and in 1993 were killed by the US Government during a rebellion. In 1995 Timothy McVeigh struck back at the US Government with the attack on the Federal Building in Oklahoma City for the Davidian massacre & Ruby Ridge Murders.

Do You REALLY Believe That A Pedophile Issue Will Bring Down The Watchtower
by minimus ini see the excitement and thrill when a jw gets nailed for pedophilia.
i'm happy when any of these creeps get caught.
but i just don't think that this is what will bring down the organization.

No it will not. If there are 20,000 claims about child molestation all the organization has to do is accept them and the judgement and file for bankruptcy. FYI, If you are or were a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses the courts can come after the members for civil damages also. This is what is occuring in Portland, Oregon with the Portland Catholic Archdiocese. When the Portland branch is completely bankrupt the lawyers are going to go after the assets of the members of the church. Such as placing liens on houses, cars and attaching bank accounts of members of the Portland Archdiocese Catholic Church.

video of JW speaking to conservative christian
by drew sagan inlet me first state that i'm not fully impressed with this mans presentation to the witness and that it would be far from effective if used on any hard core jw.
with that said i think that the actions of this witness girl are quite telling.

Of course it was a real place. It was the garbage dump outside Jerusalem that burned trash and human remains. The idea that there is a hell or hades, river styx and other damnation beliefs where your soul goes if you don't believe what I believe come from Greek myths and thought. These hell and damnation beliefs have been woven into the Bible through the translations and commentary. When you die you go to the grave where some will be resurrected and others will be left there based on their sins.
