  just wanted to let "y'all" know about the meetup group h-town ex-jw (meetup.com).

  if you want to join feel free.. i now there are some who find it helpful hanging with people who "get" you or understand.. i have a strict rule of not outing people.

  if you have that concern let me know and i will try to make sure that doesn't happen.. the next meetup is planned for march 7 ( i think that is a friday).. let us know, all are welcome.. -r.

  this week in sports............ huck does one public gig in michigan... and michigan is the proto-type for the possible overall national economy and employment issues.

  why didnt the spend more time there... lot's of delegates there and a fair amount of popular vote in the november election.. south carolina... who did what?

  Ok ,What is The definition of God?

  many times on this forum i see the word "god" and i think " so many people have so many gods".

  i would like to know how you define the word "god" .

  i am not asking if you believe in one, so please don't hit me over the head with verses and things you've heard from others, just speak from self please .

  the wt says the bible warns us about false prophets (matt.

  7:15)....and tells us we can see if they if they are false, if they say that they speak for god and make predictions in his name....yet the predictions don't come true.....the society has given no less then 6 dates for end of the world, the last being 1975.. plus false prophets change their minds on what god thinks too.. resurrection of men of sodom.

  1879- they will be resurrected.

  Gentile Times reconsidered

  i am half way through this book by carl o. jonsson and the more i read the more certain i become that the 607bce date for the destruction of jerusalem by babylon is nothing more than a fabrication designed to uphold 1914 and hence the "authority" of the watchtower leadership.it makes me sick to think of how they have duped millions of people with their phoney chronology.it makes sitting through studies that mention these dates irritating to say the least.especially when all the heads nod in unison at the mention of the "magic 607"

  hey everyone... i'm so happy that a forum like this exists.

  it makes me feel like i'm not the only one.

  even my mother, who has been disfellowshipped for nearly 20 years still calls sites and literature like this "apostate".
