In ref. to child abuse
by jw in.
ok all time to get real.
child abuse is not limited to jw's.. if you truly want to stop child abuse first start with the family , and be honest we all have a relative that is a pedophile.. then protect your family from stranger danger.. don't just isolate to jw's.. expand and truly stop the child abuse world wide.

JW,
That is true because my dad was not a Jehovahs Witness. But as a mother who was molested, I did everything I could to protect my children by teaching them about strangers and watching them where ever they were. But what niether me nor my husband counted on was that in the "spiritual paradise" in "gods only true organization" that my son would be allowed to go to the bathroom, where he would be vunerable, with his Pants down, alongside a man who was called a "brother" in good standing and was jailed on numerous occasions for child rape and sodomy. And, that the elders knew of it and reinstated him three times, and did not let any of the families in the hall know that this predator was in there. They were more concerned with keeping up the appearance that we had a clean congregation. If one older sister, who knew truth about this man, had not come forward we would have remained in the dark.
Now jw, let me ask you since you feel you have the truth and all: If someone like this was in the Isrealite nation, what would Jehovah do about it? Would he allow this person to remain in good standing?
Thank Jehovah that nothing happened to my child because if it did, either my hubby or I would have been jailed for hurting or killing this predator along with the elder who did not protect our children. And one more thing: this elder had a child too, a young boy. His son was protected because he knew this mans past but he let all the other children go to the restroom with this man, and no parents. Becuase if you have kids (which I doubt because you sound too imature), then you would know that a 7 year old wants to be a big boy and go to the rest room alone.
Do you think that this elder did the right thing? do you think Jehovah would agree with his actions for not protecting the young lambs in the org?
Right after leaving this hall, we went to one a few miles away and guess what?. .....................The elders there were keeping secret another pedophile too. Thank god I am out and my children are safe. The Org. is evil thru and thru and they have NO backing by God.

Eat a Placenta?
by skeeter1 inimagine, you are tom cruise/chruch of scientology publicist.
you have a public relations problem - the public thinks tom & his group are wacked out, cult members.. then, tom cruise says to a reporter that he's ready to eat the placenta of his new child after it births.. lol!
this really helps the church of scientology/tom's next movie's popularity.. i realize that today's fathers don't want to wait in a waiting room with a cigar.

JW,
I am a true Christian and Jehovah knows it, Christ knows it, I know it and everyone who knows me knows it. I don't have to defend myself to you. First of all, you make absolutely no sense at all. And there is no way you can debate with me actually using the Bible and not your WT to interpret things. And I am sure of that. Also, if you were a true Christian, you would not be on this site, judging peoples spirituality because unlike Christ, you cannot read our hearts. And if you read any of my posts and see how much I quote Jehovah and Jesus, you will be able to see that I am a Christian. All I have heard from you is utter nonsense. And, I am not going to waste my time with you any longer. If you have an intelligent point, then I will address it. If not, have a good evening. Lilly

Have you ever had a prayer answered?
by nicolaou inprayer topics seem to be the bandwagon of the moment so i'm jumping on!
seriously, has anyone here asked for something specific in prayer and actually gotten what they asked for?
what convinces you that you wouldn't have got it in any case?

Narkissos,
The first time I wanted to partake, I actually got too scared to do it without talking to the elders. Because I knew people would gasp. While just feeling out the elders on the issue they were like "who is it?" "did someone say they were anointed? impossible". So I really wanted to get out at that point. So, I prayed to have it "hurry up" so I could be ready to partake the next year. I left in October 04. And partook the next April. Your story reminded me of what I went thru. At the time, my hubby would not support my decision at all. I am glad you had support during that time. Lilly

I went to Jesus. I go to church for the fellowship a few times a month. I have to drive over an hour and a half each way to go to the one I like. But it is worth it. It is non-denominational and there is no central authority over them. I am not on any role call. In addition to this, I also worship and read the bible at home, in the park, in my yard, anywhere. My faith is now a living one.

Hi JW,
Since you have the NWT and the Greek book, why don't you read them together so you can find the 200 verses that the WT changed in the NWT? It was very eye opening to see that the original Greek was totally butchered in the NWT. You may find this as well.
I guess the "elder" who told me usually only "elders" have the Greek book was not that knowlegeable then was he?
