  its time for me to move on.. some of you will know that recently ive really messed my life up.

  i met a lurker on a dub site and while we started off as just friends we became a lot more.

  over 3 months we hurt both our partners and ourselves and in the end she ended up running back to her rich boyfriend and cut me off completely.. ok i know that some of you embittered bible bashers just cant wait to reach for your keyboards and start condemning me save it!

  Need advice - marriage in crisis

  i've been a member of this forum for a while now.

  i need some advice.

  i can't say too much about myself because i'm still an active witness, though not by choice.. my marriage is in trouble and the one thing that causes it is being a member of jehovah's witnesses.. i was born and raised in the truth like so many others here.

  You'll also meet other couples who share the same interests as you and develop friendships with them. It isn't going to be like the "instant friendships" you have when you start out at a new Kingdom Hall - real friendships take time to develop and they need to be cultivated.

  And you will meet others that share your same interest. The KH wants you to believe that only they have that kind of unity and its just not true. Most of my true friends have not been in the organization.

  Hardships and Assemblies

  i just left a post on the "pa convention" thread concerning some of the hardships and difficulties that jws had to (or some here still have to?

  ) endure just to either get to a convention or what they go through after getting to the convention.. having to trot around from designated doors to the restrooms (rather than being ordered to use the door they told you to) no matter where your family was sitting..... or having you and your family have to climb way too many stairs on the last upper tier to find seats.....while plenty of empty seats remained on the ground floor that were never used that whole day?.

  or the designated wts-regulation-sized cooler you had to lug into the stadium because you weren't allowed to leave the site to get a snack or a drink?.

  I hated the fact that you had to stay where they told you to. One year we went on a whim and stayed at another hotel which was conveniently located and priced a lot lower. The clickesh groups would look down on you if you could not afford the more expensive hotels. The seat saving, the looks, the bathroom lines. The whole damn thing.

  reading another thread reminded me of this time long ago before i was ever baptized.

  during a book study the conductor (who was the p.o.

  ) made a comment about being out in the field service and using the bible.

  I not only found out what I wanted, I found out far more than I ever imagined.

  I remember attending a funeral and glaring the preacher down because what he was preaching what seemed to be a bunch of nonsense. As I walked out of the church I held my maroon NWT bible in way that he could see it. I think back as how stupid I must have looked thinking I knew so much in comparison to how much I have learned since then. If he had actually challenged me with a question without a Watchtower, Awake or Reasoning book I would've been lost. I remember in the pass when asked something about religion...I couldn't just go to the bible, how helpless I was without a publication. I also remember a couple visiting me and sharing some inspiration with me, however he did it through the latest copy of the Watchtower. Left that placement with me to read over.

  a friend of mine said an elder in his congregation who attended gave a part on the service meeting lastnight about the upcoming campaign and one of the things he said was during one of the gb talks at the annual meeting i think he said it was morris stated that "the governing body is certain that jehovah's day is getting near" anyone go to that meeting or also heard this?

  can they verify?

  his reasoning for his part was no wonder the year text is zepheniah 1:14 and we are presenting this tract "false religion's end is at hand" .

  They'd use her example at an assembly and say that she was doing fine work for the organization...

  So do the answers. Sounded like he quoted from a JW publication.

  i've been thinking about the above question a lot lately!

  i see so many so-called religious people being hypocritical to the religion they profess to have faith in.

  they may say "hey, i'm only human", as if this excuses their behaviour.

  I'm not afraid of death... it's the only gaurantee in life... No I'm not being negative, I'm just keepin' it real with myself.... I love Life, and I can do that without hoping for a "REWARD"...

  Angels & Sexual urges..

  i was reading another thread and wondered why it was that the perfect angels began to have sexual urges???

  i also wondered if the resurrected ones were not to procreate why a loving god would put them on the earth to tease them.

  jthey're going to be perfect too, will they eventually have these urges too, just to be destroyed when it's all said and done.
