It does say something about locusts but I didn't read the whole thing. If you want to you can pm me with your e-mail and I will attach it to an e-mail. Other than that I don't know how I could send it because I don't have the actual magazine so I can't scan it.

I looked in my Watchtower Library CDrom. It is entitled "Jehovahs Day is Near" It's comparing modern day to prophecies in Joel, but I don't know how to put it on here.

Do we trade one arrogant "I am right" for another "I am right" attitude?
by free2beme inwhen i was a witness, i was very arrogant in my life in thinking i was right in all things.
the right religion, the right bible, the right understanding and the right lifestyle.
when i left, it was not hard to shake this arrogance and i found at times i was the same person, only with a different "right" message and i annoyed my witness relatives as much as they annoying me.

I also had a need to have ALL the answers and being a witness filled that void, at least for a time. I wonder if that's one of the biggest reasons witnesses stay in the org. When you leave you have to face the uncertainties of this life. And of course they use this to their advantage. They ask people ' why do we die? what is the purpose of life? who is the true god? why is there suffering?' And then of course they let you know that they are the only ones who can answer this.
So I guess they got one thing right: The biggest human need is to possess the answers to lifes big questions.

I'm with LDH. From now on I well celebrate ALL of my children's birthdays. My son almost died twice before he was a year old and unfornately I was still in the org when his first bd came up. I COMPLETELY regret not celebrating. To me a childs bd party is a celebration of having spent another year with this precious person in your life!!

Well like I said the work is not really an issue as we don't actually work TOGETHER. Just at the same facility.
Also it would not be my first fling since ending my marriage. I have already had a fling. Problem with that guy was he doesn't have kids and is not ready to settly down. The way I see it, once a woman has kids she doesn't seem to have much choice but a man who has been married and/or has kids as they won't feel trapped by the baggage of woman with prepackaged family.
Not trying to sound like Brady bunch but seriously are there any men out there without kids who want a woman with kids???Correct me if I'm wrong.

I know 6 kids between us! Yikes! But I'm not talking marriage or even living together. I just need to get out with adults sometimes. As far as work, I only work part-time and it is his part-time job too. The only time we're both there is Friday nights and like I said in a whole year I've been there I've never worked in the same home as him. See we work at a facility taking care of mentally handicapped and there's usually only 2 staff in each home and we've never been in the same one. So if it didn't work it wouldn't be weird there. Actually my husband(estranged) also works there in a different unit.

Right CS I need some time to sort out my own issues and not jump right in. That's also what scares me about someone else going through divorce. If they don't sort out their problems they would just carry into a new relationship. The good thing is we hardly ever see each other. In fact I have been working there a year now and have just now met him. Talked with him a couple times and started liking him. So I really wouldn't be able to rush in as we don't run into each other much.
I need to ask again though, how can I tell if he if is interested too? I'm pretty shy and married young so don't have a lot of experience with this.
