Bavman, can you be more specific as to what the section was about? I may be able to help.
Also it would be better to handle this via email. This request if fulfilled directly could conceivably break Posting Guideline #4 and open JWD to legal action.

Something doesn't add up.
The videos are clearly lip-synced; the audio quality is far beyond what any webcam (or in fact consumer-level camcorder) could do. That audio is studio-level production and is obviously processed--reverb in the linked video above, for example, and dubbing in a whole orchestra in the Frank Sinatra cover. And where's the mic in those videos? There isn't one, but she'd need one to get that level of quality.
It might still be her singing in the audio, but I guarantee that the audio was not recorded at the same time as the video. -

I agree, that sucks. Amusingly, many Witnesses just ignore the chaperon rules anyways. I know my wife and I (in good standing, she a pioneer) ignored them when we were dating.

What were you praying about before you left the JWs?
by MegaDude ini was earnestly praying to serve jehovah and give him my all.. in short order i found i was heading toward the unthinkable.
i was on my way out of the watchtower and the only life i had ever known.
pretty ironic.

Fascinating topic. I haven't fully left physically; but I'm out mentally. Many nights I would lie awake in bed, weeping, praying what was found at Mark 9:23,24:
"'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Or, as the Society likes to put it, "Help me out where I need faith."
There was no answer.
I haven't prayed since. -

Society demands submission as a 'sacred responsibility'
by yaddayadda inthe society demands submission to them as equal to submission to christ.
nov 1, 2006 watchtower, page 22 of the first study article "do you share jehovah's view of sacred things?
" para 7:

One correction to your statement: The article doesn't say that submission is a sacred responsibility. It says that the stuff the Org is doing is a sacred responsibility which deserves submission.
I mean it is still a stomach-turning statement for them to make, don't get me wrong. -

AA, that was the reason I chose it. But like 5 different people have recoiled in virtual horror at this point. :)

Wanderer is a fine individual (even though he's in the false swan song category). I just thought I'd comment on his formatting. The content itself is fine.
Warlock: Yeah it's a creepy avatar. I'll change it soon. It's Agent Smith from The Matrix. -

Would you trust this guy to build an Ark?
by moshe ini found this picture of otzi the iceman , whose mummy was found in the alps in 1991. he died about 5300 years ago.
that would make him a close contemporary of noah.
using only flint and copper tools , do you think this ancient man and his family could have built the biblical ark?

VM44, check out the talk.origins page on problems with a global flood at http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-noahs-ark.html. It has a very brief section on the ark (nothing that hasn't already been mentioned here) but it illustrates many, many other problems with the tale.
Funny, though... It feels like someone writing a treatise on why Little Red Riding Hood is impossible. It should be obvious. It's too bad people have to write this stuff.

Gill, if there was a society whose technology rivaled our own at any time in human history, we'd find evidence of it. We don't.

Wanderer, something about the way you format your posts creeps me out. Reminds me of a Watchtower article--even has a "points to consider" section.
