just curious--do all gb members profess to be "anointed?
" are they all claim to be members of the "faithful and discreet slave class?
last night at my kh we had a "local needs" part.
Thanks, cabasilas. I hope it works out that well for me.
i have heard this is so.
i'd like to aks your observations here.
as an ex jw or a spy jw how many remnant did you know in your congregation?.
Okay, well MOST of them were not raised in the truth. :)
i had 3 loves, art, dance and animals.
how i wish i could have followed up on one of those 3. i have picked up gardening of exotic plants, ....doesn't pay anything but brings me joy.. what was the dream you gave up beacause of being a jw?
tell us if you have picked up that dream or found another!.
I've been in several plays now and am getting great written reviews.
Noooo!!!! Not Written Reviews! Sorry, flashback...
I would also have been in theater. I was involved with it in high school and did well. I also would have gone to college, who knows for what, but probably something computer related. Of course, I ended up in computers anyways, so maybe nothing would be that different.

I'll tell you one thing, though--not a single one of them was raised in the truth. And another thing, they are all ex-Christians.
Ask Jim Whitney about it. He can explain.
check this out!.
wow!.

"this natural urge to reason and conclude, has been completely removed from their minds, because they have been hyptonized not to think for themselves so that they become robot servants for the Watchtower organisation"
Well that's undeniable, but I don't think it comes about from hypnotism. I think anyone who actually knows something professionally about hypnotism would laugh at that article. Even that guy from the county fair (you know that guy) would laugh at that article.
.
abel tended a "flock", which could have included sheep, goats, and/or small cattle according to the strongs word usage.. yet people weren't supposed to eat meat until god gave the go-ahead to noah, says the wts.. the earth was totally warm before the flood according to the wts, so tending sheep just for its wool would seem a little pointless.. it seems as if abel would have needed to live off of cain's crops, while he spent all his time hanging out with a pretty much useless flock.
no wonder cain was a bit surly.. what do you think?
Because whoever wrote that shit was an Israelite and the Jews already had a codified system of animal sacrifice, and they wrote that as a refutation of, a warning against, the pagan practice of vegetable sacrifice. It never really happened, it was an object lesson dressed up as a myth.
I just pulled that out of my ass, but if I do say so myself it is at least as credible as the idea of assuming that it really happened.
.
from the museum of insanity, we make this humble offering:.
http://manybooks.net/pages/faulknert1875918759/0.html
Summary: If you dance, you will have sex with someone. If you have sex with someone, you will BURN IN HELL. Ergo, dancing is from Satan (all Biblical evidence to the contrary).
It's really not just the Witnesses, is it? Religion is pretty much odious across the board.

Last night at my KH we had a "local needs" part. It was about the Faithful and Discreet Slave:
It upset me so much--SO MUCH--that I was practically in tears by the end of it. I'm getting little residual shivers of revulsion right now just typing this out. It was everything I could do not to raise my hand and ask some very pointed questions, like "DO YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHAT THE WORD 'REPRESENTATION' MEANS?!?!?!?!?!"
I have been making these posts lately that make me seem right on the edge of losing it, and maybe I am, I guess. The insanity is really getting to me. I wish I could take my wife's brain and dump everything I know into it--break the bonds of indoctrination and get her out. To mine own self be true, you might say, and rightly so, but perhaps because of my upbringing as a witness I'm terrified of being in a religiously divided household.
Sorry for spazzing out.
when i came into the org.
in the early 1980's, we had a good body of elders.
they took the lead and cared for the sheep.. the oldest was in his mid- 70's, had a sharp mind, great sense of humor and was just plain cool.
Never had a BOE that was completely 100% good, but I did have one, in the late 80's/early 90's where 7 out of 9 guys were good. That's a pretty good ratio (better than any body since).
