I have prayed that judgment be held off to give my brothers and sisters time to wake up and repent. I just don't know if there is enough time. I guess I need to hope and pray. I only hope that the organization's apostasy will continue to worsen just so it will become intolerable for Christians to be a part of it.

i used to be a jehovah's witness and if needed i will take a blood transfusion".......now that was the first time i ever expressed those words!
I have made it clear to my wife that if I or the children need blood transfusions, we will be getting them. She may do as she pleases.

When you are a child, and you have a good (or, not bad) relationship with your parents, you will believe whatever they tell you.

What's weird about it is when I was baptized (late 80's) people getting baptized young was frowned on, at least in my congregation. One young guy I knew got baptized at 14 and I remember many negative comments about it from certain (though not all) elders in my hall.
I think that the "understanding" on this issue has slowly shifted over the years.
OTOH, I remember my elder Dad talking down to a certain brother in our hall because he encouraged his kid to wait until his 20's "just in case he did something that could get him disfellowshipped."

At the Service Meeting the other day the "friends" were given an opportunity to discuss the district convention (Portland, OR, June 30-July 2). We had 41 (!!!) people baptized at that convention. Forty-One. A bigger number than I remember for at least a decade. Four or five has been more like it.
So this one elder in my hall raised his hand and said "not to make light of it, or anything, but that baptism was like a kiddie pool ! Isn't it wonderful how many young people are choosing to dedicate their lives to Jehovah?"
That's right, folks--fully half of those 41 "baptismal candidates" were under the age of 13. Four fifths of them were teenagers or younger. Only 6 or so were actual "bible studies" who had "come into the truth" from the "field".

I tend towards paranoia and I felt like all the elders kept glancing over at ME, but they have no knowledge or confirmation that I totally reject the FDS doctrine and the GB, so that really can't be it.
I was dying to ask my brother-in-law elder why that talk was given and I would have, but he got pulled away for a meeting (probably to disfellowship someone).

I just had a terrible local needs talk in my hall too--it's like they're on the full court press these days.
some years ago, when the 'voluntary donation' arrangement was announced, the society followed it up with a period of near panic.. they flooded the kingdom ministry, watchtower and circuit assemblies with pleas "reminding" the friends to open up their wallets.. eventually, they calmed down and accepted the situation, especially after coming up with new scams involving "deficits" at assemblies.
and appeals for property being willed to them.. .
it is with this background that i note a burst of emphasis about porn.

abel tended a "flock", which could have included sheep, goats, and/or small cattle according to the strongs word usage.. yet people weren't supposed to eat meat until god gave the go-ahead to noah, says the wts.. the earth was totally warm before the flood according to the wts, so tending sheep just for its wool would seem a little pointless.. it seems as if abel would have needed to live off of cain's crops, while he spent all his time hanging out with a pretty much useless flock.

At that time (okay, at the time the legend is purported to take place) sheep weren't kept for wool but for milk, meat, and leather. This was the "original" breed of sheep referred to today as "hair sheep." Wool varieties as they exist today did not exist at that time.
