How Many Here Are DF'd, Disassociated Or Not Worried That They Might?
by minimus ini'm curious as to whether the majority of the board's disfellowshipped.
and i'm curious as to whether or not push came to shove, that you would not be overly distressed if you did wind up getting df'd........as time goes on, i am caring less.

I had intended to DA myself back in 1999, but never did. We just left and that was that. I would imagine there's good grounds to DF us but since we never went to another religion I would suppose it's easier to let us go than confront us.

An interesting website and musings on GW2 vs WW2
by Deleted ini am a cooing hawk.
i considered myself a conscientious objector (not a pacifist) when i was borg - how clever we all were with our turns of phrase.
anyway, i am finding the kurdish people and culture really interesting, as are so many cultures in the area are.

I considered myself a conscientious objector (not a pacifist) when I was BOrg - how clever we all were with our turns of phrase. Anyway, I am finding the Kurdish people and culture really interesting, as are so many cultures in the area are. I have my Dad's diary from WW2 - I am compiling his history of the North African campaign. There's a similarity with the Allies' road to Tunis in late 1942. Anyway it makes GW2 seem familiar. I do hope our troops do their business as surgically as possible and get out soon. Tunis got nasty and bogged down for six months - my Dad left for Italy 10 months after that. A lot of the players are the same - the French sulking because they didn't get picked as team captain. But in 1942 they (Vichy French controlled colonial troops in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia ) where shooting at the Allies for a few days and when they had negotiated something face saving the French were back in the game on the Allied side.Vichy France itself was occupied within 12 hours by the Germans, suprisingly absent in GW2. The casualties of the 1 million men who passed through North Africa would be considered unacceptable today. In WW1 my Grandad was stationed in Mesopotamia - I know nothing about his time there, it's a shame I never talked to them about their experiences before they died. Anyway I liked this site. And I thought you might too.http://www.itnet.org/kurdhistory.html
Peace, soon as possible please

XJW's Converts vs. Raised-in-its - is there a difference
by Deleted inmorning all:.
as an adult convert to the j-dubs i chose the religion.
unless you agree with newboy that we all chose it as we cycled through this reincarnation.. when you choose something and then conclude it is seriously flawed do you lose the right of complaint?

Morning All:
As an adult convert to the J-dubs I CHOSE the religion. Most of you did not. Unless you agree with Newboy that we all chose it as we cycled through this reincarnation.
When you choose something and then conclude it is seriously flawed do you lose the right of complaint? Yes, we are all victims of victims. But when you are raised in it you have an extra right of complaint.
Thoughts?

What are you planning by way of celebration? What about a Christmas Party? I'll bring the beer, Portland Brewing's of course.
Congratulations and thanks again for saving my sanity!

If I only had one book for your Mum to read it would be Ray Franz' Crisis of Conscience. He has a better insight than anyone else, so far.
If your Mum just wants the highlights then I'd say start at freeminds.org
Is there anything in particular she is stuck on?
