The elder I feel I can trust as not contacted me yet...but I know he is busy. The second elder...who is also PO for the congregation I used to attend told his wife about the letter...how do I know....his wife was at my home, and before I even arrived home he had told her over the phone and she told my wife...so much for c onfidentiality. My wife then started to demand to see the letter. I had a third copy which I printed for myself, so I let her see it...she then started to speak to her father (her parents are staying with us for a few months) Her father is an elder back in Karachi, Pakistan, and then he asked my wife if he could see the copy....I was so angry at all this....it was meant to be between myself and the other two elders...So anyway...I let my father-in-law read the letter...I have nothing to hide...unlike the WTS. Anyway, later on the evening I am told that three elders are coming to visit me.....Sounds like a JC to me.

I just wrote a 6 page letter
by Kero-kero ini addressed it to a couple of elders.
one elder i feel i can trust and one elder is in the congregation i used to attend.....*cough* still assigned to....it is just a letter which expresses my concerns and doubts and personal issues with the wts and congregation(s) i did not go it to much detail but it should be enough for them to at least understand my veiw point.
i have asked if they could reply to me...or at least make some kind of comment...even if it to just try and ease my doubts and concerns.

I addressed it to a couple of elders. I explained it was not a DA letter but if I still feel unsatisfied and my doubts and concerns have not been eased, then I will have no choice but to DA myself. I kept letter polite, yet to the point but I have a funny feeling they might claim I have become apostate and set me up with a JC with the view to DF me.

Flood Legends
by Inquisitor inthe account of noah's flood has had its credibility beaten black and blue by current understanding of ancient history, geology and biology.
yet staunch christians, including jws, continue to assert that the existence of the many flood legends from all over the world proves that a global catastrophe must have occurred.
how would you respond to this line of reasoning specifically?

I just added the link has a point of interest. I am not apart of that religion or in anyway in total agreement with 'Answersing Genesis' On a personal level I find the idea of a Global Flood hard to believe.
When I posted the link I did say that my problem with such sites or organisation is that their faith depends on the global flood of Noah's Day being factual. Where-as I have doubts that such a thing actually happened.

Here is an interesting site:
http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/flood.asp
It is pro-flood and gives reasons and evidence for why the account of the global flood really did happen.
My problem with such sites as the above is it is biased to the creation account and the flood account, has their faith depends on it. I also have a problem with pro-evolutionists. Both are just theories.

When I questioned the flood I was shot down in flames and accused of lacking in faith. There is a story of a great flood that sounds very similiar to the Biblical story and it comes from ancient Persia and is older than the Biblical account. I guess these legends spread with the migration of man. The JW's and many Christians point to the fact that Jesus said something along the lines of 'Has it was in Noahs day, so it shall be in the last days' so if Jesus mentioned it....then it must be true.
Maybe there was a large flood in the Middle East. I did read some where that was the case. But very unlikley there was a global flood.

Let me do that again with out posting a blank message.... D'OH!
I never really enjoyed the Conventions or assemblies...and that was when I was a JW and being faithful to the WTS and Jehovah.
I would suggest you do not go.
