Judge to defendant:
"Sir, did it occur to you that nursing your child while driving might endanger the well-being of your offspring?"
Mmmm. that'll work.
warning (mostly to criminals, of course):.
if you are considering stealing identification from others to commit identity fraud, please be aware that stealing social security numbers could get you into even more hot water than you might think!
a self-appointed prophet has some news for you!

If you are considering stealing identification from others to commit identity fraud, please be aware that stealing social security numbers could get you into even more hot water than you might think! A self-appointed prophet has some news for you! Social security numbers are the mark of the beast, so you might want to think twice before stealing somebody else's digits! {And for those of you that are American citizens contemplating stealing another's ss number for identity fraud- ask yourself, do you really want two marks of the beast?}
Criminal mind or not, American citizens need to be aware of the governments quiet conspiracy to doom you eternally with it's evil numerical branding! So says Christopher Holloman Hansen, founder of The First Christian Fellowship of Eternal Sovereignty.
In his thirteen Testaments of truth you'll find:
6. We Recognize as Truth that any form of numerical identification or NAME CHANGE, such as the Social Security Identification Number and/or a NEW SATANIC NAME, of individual Sovereigns or their children is a direct violation of the First, Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, Tenth, and Thirteenth Amendments to the Constitution and is, either a precursor to or in actuality, the prophesied numerical satanic "Mark of the Beast" and we reject them on both legal and religious grounds.

Now why do i care about this? Well, I don't. But I saw the article online(below) and out of curiousity I decided to google him. So it's kind of an aside, if you will. Anyway, check out the inspiration piece below. It's chock full of wacky religious hijinks (and they say mysogyny chivalry is dead!) :
Husband asks to be prosecuted for wife's crime
By Associated Press, 6/25/2003
RAVENNA, Ohio -- A husband thinks he should be prosecuted for his wife's failure to stop driving while she breastfed their baby on the Ohio Turnpike.
Catherine Nicole Donkers, 29, of suburban Pittsburgh, is to go on trial Aug. 6 on misdemeanor charges of child endangering, failure to comply with the order of a police officer and several other driving infractions.
Her husband, Brad L. Barnhill, said he wants to be tried instead, citing religious beliefs.
"I'm responsible for what she does, and no one can punish her except me," said Barnhill, 46, a minister in the First Christian Fellowship for Eternal Sovereignty, an organization founded by Christopher Hansen of Henderson, Nev., in the late 1990s.
"That's a fantasy," prosecutor Victor V. Vigluicci said Tuesday. "I've never heard such a thing."
The couple has not yet hired an attorney, according to court records.
A truck driver called 911 on May 8 to report that he had seen a woman driving her car with a baby in her lap.
Asked why his wife did not stop to nurse the child, Barnhill said she didn't want to turn "a five-hour trip to Michigan into a seven-hour trip."
A conviction for misdemeanor child endangering carries maximum penalties of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine
I'd take all those Mahal Gitas(sp.) and hold them dear, Finrot. Have a nice honeymoon!
(Thinking of all my lovely Filipina friends... too funny! Somebody's in for a bit of a surprise! Enjoy it while you can!)
Now I'm off to forward this to a friend of mine who would find this quite amusing...
just curious.
i get the impression from reading posts that a great deal are.
i also noticed while i was studying with them that virtually everybody has/had a relative that was disfellowshipped or knew someone who is/was.
Non-JW here. "Worldly" one. Satan is my daddy!
how do you want to be remembered?
"(detective) who?!?"
a couple days ago minimus asked the question (anyone notice he's always asking questions?
me: snobbery, ignorance, flourescent lighting and hands that are shedding innocent blood.

Sentiments like...
She is more concerned with my happiness than she is hers, how damn refreshing!!
, what do you think ............ 1) will a jw parent allow their son/daughter date someone who is not a jw ???.
2) will a jw parent allow their son/daughter marry someone who is not a jw ???.
3) will a jw parent allow their kids to socialize with other kids after school or weekends ???.
Absolutely, completely encouraged to be bigoted towards outsiders. Whether or not they heed those crappy, biased warnings seems to vary from person to person though.
i have read many stories here about those who have been disfellowshiped.
they express the pain of the experience, and the emotional trauma they experience.
i have to ask a question.
3) A person is raised as a JW, gets baptized in his early teens due to standard family and cultural pressures, learns enough after he becomes an adult to quit the religion, and quits. Shunning this person is a gross violation of social norms, and I have a very big problem with this.
this is/was my friend's scenario. Frankly, should I ever meet his parents and they ever express any remorse over the estrangement, I'd ask them pretty much the same thing.
To his folks: What did you think would happen when you signed up? How did you think you would handle it when your children reached adulthood, and just like you did, decided to change course? What was your plan for handling that situation when your children reached the point where they would decide if/how they wanted to worship?
And, of course, what the hell were you thinking allowing your minor child to enter a binding lifelong contract with promising affiliation with a punishment-relishing religious group?
Ah, if only I'd meet them one day. How come I hope I never do??
i know right now you are sitting behind a computer, so you would be considered (at least by me and millions of others world over) to be... well... lucky.
here is where you react with your personal problems which are rather petty (sorry not trying to be rude here) life situations that amount to a hill of beans, barring extreme life circumstances, compared to say, that one guy who wears rags and talks to himself on the corner of main and broadway.
huh?
Perhaps Mr. Moe might have avoided some confusion by a less heavy-handed approach in her writing style. Clearly, she couldn't possibly know what problems people who post on this board might have, so calling them petty might be considered offensive to some. Sh ehas no idea what people think at stoplights or elsewhere, so presuming to might seem condescending, which I imagine she would want to avoid so that people focused more on content and less on delivery. Similiarly, she may want to clarify who this mysterious "you" is that she addressing. With a few small revisions, I'm sure nobody would feel patronized or insulted by the post.
Instead of:
"Here is where you react with your personal problems which are rather petty"
"You know who I am talking about, that creepy homeless guy (or so you say to yourself as you remember to lock your door while sitting at the red light.) "
"Now I dare you..."
She could try:
"Here is where I, Mr. Moe, react with personal problems which are rather petty"
or
"...or so I say to myself,Mr. Moe, as I remember to lock my car door while sitting at the red light"
This way, she is still able to make her point but without appearing to condescend to others while doing it. And, the more people who can really ~hear~ your message the better, right?
well, i went to my first sunday meeting after realizing the real "truth" about the wts today.. it is interesting sitting there with a liberated mind-set now.. at one point my wife turned to me and asked during the public talk, "whats so funny?".
", i asked her.. "because youre smiling.".
smiling at the kh, a sure sign that your not a jw i guess.. ~.
Winston,
Definitely try "Releasing the Bonds: Empowering People to think for themselves" by Steven Hassan (cult expert). His site sounds like Randy's but is different: he is at www.freedomofmind.com
It really helped me to get through to someone who I would never really "get it".
