The WTS does not know who the king of the north is. but they won't admit it.
If they were inspired they would know
aren't all these predictions , assumptions as to the identity of these all giant leaps of faith ?.
doesn't the bible says that the book of revelations meaning is sealed up until the end of times?.
does the fds class actually say it is inspired - do they talk to god directly ?.

here is a letter dated may 12,1975 from the governing body .
the following quote is from that letter.

Here is a letter dated May 12,1975 from the governing body
The following quote is from that letter
Quote
While the beginning of the seventh "day" is admittedly tentative, the end of the six thousand years of man's history in the fall of 1975 is not tentative, but is accepted as a certain date. So in good faith and with right motive to enhance Bible education, the date of 1975 has been presented with confidence, as one of considerable significance. While some outsiders have come to be quick in denouncing the Society, yet we calmly wait fot the completion of this Biblical year of 1975 as we continue to strengthen ourselves spiritually. From Jehovah's viewpoint and his eternal purpose for the earth, the completion of six thousand years of man's residence on this earth is bound to be important.

Here is the link where the letter originates from
http://www.jwfiles.com/x-files/78letter.htm
The above letter states the end of man's 6 thousand years ended in 1975. The society presented 1975 with "confidence " just as rutherford presented 1925 with "confidence"
No wonder the JW left after 1975!
i was thinking last night that the wts is acting suspicious like.
remenber the letter a few months ago to have emergency supplies ready and contact numbers ect.
then the end of religion tract, then the km on blood.
If it is god's will for this warning to false religion, the WTS should go on television and radio to get the message out, after all Rutherford said that the radio belongs to jeehoover god.
my husband, the black pearl, had a interesting conversation with his mother today.
she was trying to be all kiss butt nice, for today that is, to tell him about the new tract that is coming out in october.
apparently they don't have it yet.
The rate at which the JW are leaving the BORG(due to the internet) may in fact be greater than the rate of those coming into the BORG. It sure looks that way
i'm doing some research on the 1920s period of the wt society.
has anyone ever published the stats for the memorial attendance for this period?
my understanding is that it dipped quiet a bit after 1926 but i'd like to see if that is substantiated by the stats.
The WTS did not publish the memorial partakers or attenders for the years 1931,32,33,34 . The WTS is trying to cover up something here because they confirm in the Babylon the great had fallen book, that they in fact knew what the memorial numbers were for those years.
Quote
As this Kingdom preaching and Bible instruction continued, more and more of the "sons of the kingdom" were separated and freed from Babylon the Great and from the rest of the Devil’s visible organization. The number of these increased, as was disclosed by reports on the annual celebration of the Lord’s evening meal on Nisan 14, until between 1931 and 1935. Then the annual celebration of the Lord’s evening meal showed a steadily decreasing number of "sons of the kingdom" who partook of the unleavened bread and red wine at the Lord’s supper. This indicated that the harvest of them had practically ceased and that numbers of them were faithfully finishing their earthly Christian career as Jehovah’s witnesses

so why did they not publish the numbers for those years, when they knew what they were?

I was thinking last night that the WTS is acting suspicious like. Remenber the letter a few months ago to have emergency supplies ready and contact numbers ect. Then the end of religion tract, then the KM on blood. I looks like the WTS is bracing itself for some dangerous event.
I think maybe the WTS has been sucked in by Micheal Drosnin's book "the bible code". In that book he claims that 2006 is to be the year of destruction. As far as prophecy goes Drosnin will be no better at predicting future events than the WTS is. The WTS is keeping something SECRET, it is just a nagging feeling I have. They can't afford another 1975 scenario so they are keeping quiet about it this time
i read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?
is it old light?
i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?
It is sickening the WTS teach this stuff about the 7 trumpets to this day. They are very keen in linking dates of conventions with scripture. Rutherford started all that. It is absurd that the date of a convention was foretold in the bible. That is sheer lunacy right up there with Micheal Drosnin's book the Bible Code
The core of WTS doctrines are based on the dates of conventions. This alone convicts the WTS of being a false prophet of the highest degree.
Hey JW lurkers: you guys are not Jehoovers witnesses - you are Rutherford's witnesses
the insert is called "how do i view blood fractions and medical procedures involving my own blood?
" i will attempt to transcribe the more salient points for everyone here.. paragraph 1 (verbatim): the bible commands christians to "abstain ... from blood.
" (acts 15:20) thus, jehovah's witnesses do not accept transfusions of whole blood or the four primary components of blood-namely, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.
I thought that using your own blood was OK.
Does Jehoover really care anyway??
hey, can anyone get me a great armageddon image?
-- i seem to have lost my paradise brochure and i need one for a philosophy project tomorrow.
i know danny haszard usually drops the one into his posts, the one with the woman falling into the crevice, does anyone else have the ability to find or put it on here for my use?
I'll second that .
Jehoover already caused a flood and killed everybody by drowning. Imagine the TERROR!!!
God could have just given everybody a lethal injection with no big TERROR DRAMA
God again promises he's going to nuke em but can't use water this time. It'll be shake and bake.
here is some rubbish from the awake magazine .

Does the failure of such predictions to come true convict as false prophets those who made them, within the meaning of Deuteronomy 18:20-22? That text reads: "The prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. And in case you should say in your heart: 'How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?' when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak."
There are some who make spectacular predictions of the world's end to grab attention and a following, but others are sincerely convinced that their proclamations are true. They are voicing expectations based on their own interpretation of some scripture text or physical event. They do not claim that their predictions are direct revelations from Jehovah and that in this sense they are prophesying in Jehovah's name. Hence, in such cases, when their words do not come true, they should not be viewed as false prophets such as those warned against at Deuteronomy 18:20-22. In their human fallibility, they misinterpreted matters

Clearly, the above scripture applies to everyone else except the Jehoover's witnesses
