The melody to this would be a cool ringtone:
We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses; We speak out in fearlessness.
Ours is the God of true prophecy; What He foretells comes to be.

it was bad enough he forgot to turn off his cellphone before the study began, but to make things worse he had a kingdumb malady [of all things] as his ringtone!!!

update...husband made appt. with the elders, what do you think of this?....
by New light for you inok... so my husband felt bad that the elders wanted to meet with us and he wasn't responding... so he set it up for saturday at 2 even though everyone said dont meet with them.
oh ya, and everyone said not to meet with them at your house, but again, he didn't want to rock the boat.
it's funny, though he was the first one to leave, he's still afraid and doesn't want to "raise any red flags" he's willing to just say "we're discouraged, can you just leave us alone fora while" feel free to yell at him (robert7).. here's the thing.

Use "caller ID" on your phone and don't answer the door when they come. "Disconnect" from them, or should I say diassociate, disfellowship the elders.
That will give you time to make up your mind. People here say they won't quit hounding you. I get phone calls from telemarketers
and such, and I let the voicemail answer. And I look out the window before I answer the door. You don't owe them anything. -

ARE YOU AN INTELLECTUAL? Why not?
by Terry ini think i heard the word "intellectual" for the first time when i was less than ten years old.. my grandmother said to me that the presidential candidate for the democratic party (adalai stevenson) was an "intellectual".. the way she said the word...the timbre of her voice...the look of admiration on her face...led me to believe this was a good thing indeed!.
i think i may have asked her what the word meant, but, i don't recall exactly what she told me.
perhaps enough to confirm that this fellow stevenson was a "thinker" of admirable stature.. fast forward.. by the time my teen years came along there was a kind of dichotomy in society between so-called "eggheads" and common folk.

I am facinated by learning new things now that I am an "independant thinker".
I am not a smart man, but I know what love is...
I think it is a mistake for people like me who don't have high intellect to not persue knowledge of all sorts.
One thing I think is very important: It is at least as important to see when something is not true as it is to find truth.
One argument a JW might use is "Well if its not 'The Truth', then what do you have that is better?"
Not a relevent question. Throw away the lies and untruths. You don't need to replace them with anything. -

Cross is a pagan symbol, watchtower is a pagan symbol too
by Noelle inyou all jehovah witnesses that said jesus didn't die on a cross but on a stake your wrong because the romans were pagans and what better way to crucify someone than on a pagan symbol.
i have a fact that you need to listen to as well, the watchtower which you symbolize is a pagan symbol as well.
oh no how can that be you ask, well let me tell you.. in ceremonial magic and some traditions of wicca and neopaganism, the four cardinal points are believed to have spiritual guardians called watchtowers.

Who can deny that JW's "blindly adore" and have "excessive devotion" to the "Faithful and discreet slave".
I had never seen this definition of idolotry before, but it certainly fits well. There is this entity that they
are convinced that God himself has put into place to channel his spirit through. Its so obvious that it is a form of
idolotry, by this one definition. -

This post upsets me.
In the description of what life will be like in the new system:
" We can look forward to growing back hair, teeth, etc"
Whats wrong with being bald!?
In the new system, all men will have hair on top their heads, no beards, flat stomachs, and will be at least 6 feet tall (2 meters).
All women will have flat stomachs and hour glass figures, and long hair. And everyone will be good looking.
Revelation 21:4
"he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and baldness shall be no more; neither shall there be ugliness, nor fatness, nor facial hair, any more: the former things are passed away." -

I remember an elder saying we would use bulldozers to bury the bodies.
This same elder loved motorcycles. He seemed excited about being able to pick and chose what motorcycle he could scavenge in the new system. -

I have zero sympathy for individuals who drive to work alone in a pickup that gets 16 MPG,
individuals who have office jobs.
I have great sympathy for individuals who actually use their vehicles to haul work related items
to job sites.
