I don't have this, but I know those that do. A great resource for information, is pro-health, who are also a great source for vitamins that have been shown to help.

its unfortunate that he has to be judged as a dead beat. Like anyone would choose to sleep all day and want to feign pain for a sad little excuse. Please, those who I know who have come down with this were people who were driven, on the move, type-a, and the antithesis of laziness. The fact that they are now unable to do what they used to is completely infuriating for them.

WHY I'M BECOMING A MUSLIM!
by Dansk ini came across an interesting site the other day and below is an extract from one of its web pages (does anyone know if the following is actually true as i've never read the quran?).
no wonder so many muslim men wear baggy trousers, it's to hide the erection they get when they look heavenwards!.
what i don't understand is what's in it for the women?

ewww, was Mohammed a randy old perv? The young boys thing is something I had never heard about. ick. So they forbid homosexual contact on earth, but in paradise Allah even dresses prospects up with jewels?
It's not like Mohammed really limited his appetite in his earthly life anyway.
Target market: Young aroused men who are having trouble getting a lady?

(I have a very perverted brother-in-law that cannot keep his hands to himself. ; I'll be trying to dodge him a third of the time.)
Is he like Uncle Jeffrey in Bridget Jones? In that case don't dress like a tart! :)
As far as I have heard, you can pack liquids in your CHECKED baggage, if they won't let you take it on your carry-on...yes, foundation is truly truly important I must concur.
Try to plan your outfits, and DON'T pack an entire suitcase of shoes (i have made this tragic mistake).
I would also recommend not using the blankets that are provided by the airlines. They are not the cleanest, in fact one we got had barf all over it. Not what you would call cozy.
don't worry, you have a greater chance of dying being electrocuted by your toaster. So if you can make it through breakfast toast today you'll be fine.
hope you have a good time

IS EVOLUTION THE ANSWER?
by Dansk ini'm currently reading richard dawkin's book the ancestor's tale and it suddenly struck me that evolutionists believe all men are equal seeing that we all came from a common ancestor.
that being the case, would it not serve man to believe in evolution?.
turn on the t.v.

Turn on the T.V. at the moment and all one sees is footage of conflicts around the world, notably in the Lebanon. The war has its roots in religion (as do many/most wars) as the Israeli's are primarily Jewish and the Arabs are primarily Muslim - and yet if we remove their religious tags we find that they are ALL Semites! Therefore, if we get rid of all religion and accept that we are all equal - the evolutionist model (I know, religion supposedly infers that all men are equal but evolution contends that we definitely are, i.e. we are all the same species!) - would it not be better for us all to believe in evolution? What do you think?>>
No. Two countries, China, North Korea. Nuf said. WW1 and WW2 were not fought on religious grounds. If nobody believed in a supreme being or prophets or messiahs anymore, there would still be war, evil, manipulation, men would just bow to other 'gods.' I don't think there would be any sort of utopian shift if religion were to be abolished. On the contrary. We cannot know how many mens egos have been checked by fear of a higher power. And try and offset the goodwill, charity, and, yes, freedom that cannot be charted every single day by men and women who are set in motion by their faith.
The fact is, men can be animals. Would telling a would be pedophile that the little girl he is targeting is equal to him, he shouldn't harm her, would alter his course?
Yes, religion=created equal, can trace back genes to common ancestors
evolution=can trace genes back to common ancestors, therefore equal. duh.
Btw, to those who are having a fit about men not being 'superior' to other beings on this planet. When a cow cures diseases, when a flea writes about quantam mechanics, when a buffalo stitches up a wounded soldier and saves his life, and when a manatee paints a ceiling like Michelangelo, then maybe there will be some substance to your cotton candy hippy speech.
If that is true, then you should find it difficult if at some point someone were to threaten both the life of your son or daughter, or a fish. You pick which. One must die. But...they are both equal now aren't they?

Do you view yourself as a sinner? Are animals sinners too?
by jambon1 inor is it just the case that people make mistakes.
some little, some big.
if the punishment for 'sin' is old age & death then are the animals sinners?

if you were to look at it from a "biblical" perspective, i believe it would be a consequence of God "cursing the earth" etc...
from a natural perspective, why haven't the weaklings died off already?
sin is defined as something 'against God' like a crime is defined as something done against another, anothers property etc. Punishments I suppose if one was speaking of a sin, would be legislated and judiciated by God, since he would be the legislator, the judge, et al.
I don't know, I'm just answering your question from a viewpoint that addresses this.
I hate it when kitties die. Mine did recently :(. Animals I'm not to crazy about though (like crazy rabid ones that try and bite your face off)...or animals that taste delicious...hmmm. I don't think its reasonable in those instances to wait for "nature to take her course." I'm hungry and want steak.

My Observation...How Come?
by wozadummy ini've nearly finished reading the 2 ray franz books and i've been on this forum for a few months and i've wondered about this:.
on both the books and the forum much is said about the watchtower lying ,misleading ,being a false prophet ,having no conscience toward the after effects of decisions they have made that have effected peoples lives ,even sometimes tragically.. well ,ok ,but my observation is this :very rarely ,if at all, does anyone say directly that the watchtower is lead and influenced by satan.does this mean that :.
ones have lost faith in god /religion because of the watchtower org and now don't really believe in satan now.

If satan is the father of lies, and the watchtower is a lie...if you want to look at figuratively or literally, satan would then be the watchtower daddy. and the r&f are responsible for his "child support" :)

advice please
by miller ini am not a jw and never have been.
actually i only just discovered what it really means to be a witness.
i grew up thinking it all rather harmless door-knocking and not having christmas, (which seemed pretty grim to a kid in itself) now, however, i have begun a relationship with a jw, well, an 'inactive' (i think you say) witness.

what i suppose i am asking is, is it possible he can be freer? and what is the best way to gently help him out of the clutches of guilt and the ;terror of 'dying at armageddon' and ;show him where jw's have made mistakes etc in the past?"
Hi there Miller, welcome to the board
The best way to go about this I believe, since he has just been inactive, and doesn't really know about the WT as a cult, would be to direct him to sites of OTHER cults, he will recognise hopefully the precise way they operate is the way the WT does. I would personally use a cult like the way international. Here is an ex-site that talks about the identifying marks of a cult etc.
http://www.factnet.org/cults/way_international/index.html
http://www.factnet.org/mindcont.htm<<what is mind control, some good articles
they are very zealous "markers" of "bad association" hmmm, so this is from
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Ithaca/8957/wfznews2.html
giving some dialogue that happened with a "marked" member and Sam Coburn, a church leader
Exactly like the WT::::::
"Leaders of the cult believe themselves to act and speak for God. They see themselves in the capacity of Moses, leading the flock out of harms way. Failure to immediately heed a directive from leadership is considered lack of meekness--a sign of rebellion and danger to the integrity of the cult houshold. Sam makes accusations about Elmer to Julie, Elmer's girlfriend. Sam's purpose in doing this is to convince Julie that Elmer is evil, and at the same time, to reinforce his god-given authority and her need for the protection of the Household.
http://www.geocities.com/athens/ithaca/8957/sc5.rm
and also exactly like the WT:
"Sam is accusing Elmer of thinking for himself, contrary to leadership directives. Independent thought is defined as not controlling ones mind. L Craig Martindale requires all members of his group to be like-minded on all issues. To not respond immediately to any leadership directive is believed to be an indicator of unbelief.
http://www.geocities.com/athens/ithaca/8957/sc6.rm
and as all the "cults of christianity" claim, first century Christianity restored.
"Wierwille also promoted himself as "The Man of God" for our day, and he loved to be called "Doctor" and "The Teacher" (not just "a," but "The"). He encouraged his followers to think of him as the greatest spiritual leader since the Apostle Paul 2,000 years ago. Wierwille claimed God spoke audibly to him and promised to teach him the Word "as it has not been know since the first century."
http://www.empirenet.com/~messiah7/vp_wannabe.htm
Of course this is not a very potent or vivacious cult.
Use Mormons as an example. Or the Unification church. I think this is the best way to gently demonstrate the true nature of their respective religion to a cult member. Their mental guard is not up in a way it would be if you were to first go right after their beliefs. It's good to show them that there are ways people have been manipulated in other religions, and hopefully he will spot the blatant similarities.
good luck

Are There Any Worthy Non-Watchtower Charities?
by TMS injehovah's witnesses are subtly discouraged from contributing to any charities other that the watchtower society.
while acknowledging that groups other that the wt may do "some good", jw's may feel that charitable groups are generally dishonest, wasteful or simply not doing things "jehovah's way.".
now, as an ex-jw, have you found any charities worthy of your monetary support?

www.oxfam.com, which is sort of an educational/charitable organization, what Devon said (doctors without borders) Mercy Ships is very much along this vein (www.mercyships.org) and World Vision is a great one too.
