How many 'real" friends did you ever really have in ther "truth'
by The Lone Ranger insure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?
a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.
i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.

There's an Awake article sometime in 1978. I can't remember what month, but I specifically remembered that they were going on that disco music was associated with homosexuality. i have to find that awake in the attic, my CD-ROM is playing up.

I've served in 3 different congregations. In my first congregation, all but one elder in that cong was great. Really genuine loving brothers. Practiced what they preached. The second cong, P.O. was a haughty bully boy. Many moved out because of him, it was in that hall when my problems began. Last congregation, one elder, who wanted to get into my wife's knickers, spread nasty rumours about me, BOE believed them until the truth came out. Yet that jerk is still an elder. I can't wait to tell you all about this, but since my wife's family is still in the org, I'm not saying much at the moment until she approves.

Remember those toolbox-like briefcases some of the brothers had?
by WingCommander ini bet some still carry them.
you all know what i'm talking about; there were at least 3 brothers in the congregation that had one.
thank god my father wasn't one of them.

I know one elder who took his to work. I don't know why. Everyone in the office use to say that he thinks his management, walking around with that large thing. To annoy him, I hid it one morning, it took him hours to find it.

by Midget-Sasquatch inwell i setup an account at reexaminer.org eager to make a contribution but find that uploading was disabled (for now anyway).. so here's this year's supposedly hard-hitting expose on "false religion" aka kingdumb news 37. i hope these links work for all of you.

Excellent work Midget-sasquatch. It's amazing that the wts have condemned themselves by the wording of this tract. False Religion? I found it amusing the section on spreading false doctrine. For example how many false prophecies they've come out with and never been fulfilled. Tolerating immoral sex particularly about child abuse, look at the recent cases. How will false religion ends? This is the funniest section. Haven't the society rode the scarlet coloured beast themselves, with the UN NGO? If they believe that false religion has dishonoured God this way, then woe to the WTS.

Poor Witnesses
by KW13 in.
my mum managed to secure a reasonable paying job, it asked that she worked basically full time till the new year because the place has just opened but it would give her a pension (instead of trying to live off a small state pension) when she is older, and there are a few nice 'perks' including staff discounts.. well, despite her managing to get the job while many failed to secure a position, and managing to get through the different interviews and processes she will now drop the job, before she even does the training, yet alone starting it because the wife of an elder on the phone convinced her to take up her daughters 'ironing round' and also give herself more free time, for jehoover things - although she mentioned my mums health and asked if she had energy to do that.. anyway, while i was sat next to mum she said "yeh, i can't see this system lasting much longer" - a stupid gambol i think, its all based on chance.. i shouted at her after, i said why are you doing this?
you need to secure your future, because you don't know what might go wrong with this ironing round thingy and its going to mean travelling to peoples homes, you may lose customers and not gain them, and then i asked how long she's known about 'the witnesses' and we worked out, that since 1985 to now, she came from being disfellowshipped in 1996, meaning for at least 10 years she has been waiting for this end of the system...a long time eh?.

My wife had an ironing round, and she practically struggled. One week she had tons of work. Next few weeks nothing at all. Most weeks we were living off my wage, with the overtime included. I lost the overtime, and we struggled financially on my basic wage. Within two weeks she got herself a new job, along with a college course. I just wish they'd keep their noses out of peoples business.

Kingdom Hall Duties
by KW13 ini remember even though i was young, i was 'mature' and i got the priv.
of doing microphones on certain occasions, helped the brother doing carpark e.t.c.
i used to hate mic's at our hall, they had cable attached so you were always tripping over this huge cable, or a sister would have it in her hand, then pull it, so you'd end up with this thing around your legs, basically attaching you to her.

I hated microphone duties. The worst thing about it was sister long boring answers would sit in the middle of a row, you had to bend over and stretch as she gave one of her long answers, while your arm is about to drop off. Car park was brilliant for the same reason as KW13 gave.

Racism: Lyman Swingle Once Said to Me. . .
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inyears ago, when i was 19 and shp (single hot pioneer), living at home of course, waitressing at denny's, just living la vida loca.
.. swingle stayed in our home for a district ass.
after the weekend and as he was saying his goodbyes, he grabbed my face and shook me back and forth and with a wide grin on his face said, "you need to come to bethel to meet some of our bethel boys, i'm tired of these colored girls coming to bethel and taking our boys home.

Swingle would've got lynched if he said words like that where I live. It doesn't surprise me. I punch a brother in the ribs , when nobody was around, in the toilets at the assembly hall because I heard racist comments. Some people in the dud religion don't change their nasty attitudes whatsoever. Makes my blood boil.
