We'll see just how blessed their 'theocratic war strategy' is when all these many people try to keep their stories straight.
'Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.'

the society has for years loved to quote the scripture found in mt.
7:20...."by their fruits you will know them".
christendom and its clergy has been denounced because of their "rotten" fruitage.believers of the watchtower truly believe that the fruitage of jehovah's witnesses is the finest available.
High rates of suicide and homicide.
Taking up a lot of space in mental hospitals.
Martyring their own children.
Wasted lives.
Emotionally vacuous. Shallow. Self-righteous. Gossipy tattlers.
No respect for other people on almost any level.
Ready to abandon the love and skills that God gave them and turn everything over to someone else - 'someones' who claim to be God's own 'special' mouthpiece - and the rest of the world is somehow just too stupid to see.
Rule bound.
Close-minded.
Selfish. Arrogant.
Lazy?
Cruel. Secretive. Conniving. Manipulative.
Viscious.
eternally "innocent"

what is the youngest you've known someone to be da'd or df'd, and what for?
What's that scripture in the Bible about 'what is done in secret will be shouted from the rooftops'? (or something like that)
Yes WTS, you're right. The Bible IS about you.
Just not the parts you thought.
suppose, for a moment, we ignore all the misdeeds of the watchtower.
society (quite an achievement in itself!

I love it when a dose of insight passes over someone on this board and you share it with us. We all benefit.
just a general query as today i am feeling, as most sundays, like i want to move to the moon and get away from my jw family...ie, mother and father.
for years i lived abroad and didn't really think about it much, but now that i am back and in the area, just the very thought of spending too many minutes in their company makes me want to pack up and move away again.
it's been several years since i left home and the jw organization.
Being out here and coming to appreciate the rampant cold-heartedness of JWs in general has alleviated from me any and all feelings of guilt about what I might or might not be doing.
I pray God has a way to deal with them, eventually.
I forgive them in a broad spiritual sense but I've really come to recognize their selfishness and to know that forgiving them does not mean that I have to have anything to do with them.
They can't really fathom that anyone else is in the room besides themselves.
Our relationship would pretty much be exactly the same whether I was there or not.
For my own sake, I choose not.
There are better places to invest my energy.
i have been waiting to see what the wts has to say about this little nun.
here it is in can saints help you?
wt september 15, 2002, introductory article, the modern appeal of saints .
The way they dismiss her offhand reminds me of something that very little children do with something very valuable.
They just don't have the maturity yet to appreciate the value of something.
The problem is that the WTS has that same level of immaturity but way, way too much authority and responsibility. Especially in the eyes of some 6M people.
It's like giving a loaded handgun to a 4-year old.
It's very unfortunate that this circumstance is allowed to exist.
a recent thread got me quite interested in this, as i was amazed to hear that some people have seen "demonic" looking picture in dub publications; i do remember being shown by a dub in the revelatiopn book a picture of jehovah (or jesus, i cant remember ) smashing something with a big rod, adn there is a hideous lloking claw, reaching up trying to grap the stick (or sceptre i cant remember what it was) sorry if this post is really incoherant, i just had two double vodkas with vanilla coke!!.
anyway, i was quite astonished ot read that others have seen other images.
what im after in this thread is a list of where people have seen these images and in what publications; i remember showing this certain picture to my family and them saying "are you really trying to tell me that jehovah would allow the demons to do this in his publications.
It's my guess that the artists spent a lot of time with magazine comics while growing up (Superman, Spiderman, etc., etc.).
For some reason, there are a lot of boy magazine artists in the world. I guess to a young boy, it's a fun and challenging kind of thing to replicate. (Especially if you're living an emotionally impoverished life?)
Only problem is, once you have the talent, what are you supposed to do with it?
No one would deny that you have artistic talent and, depending on your age, many would even tell you that you are a 'GREAT ARTIST'.
But there is only so much room in the world for pinball machine paintings.
Lord knows, the uneducated JWs wouldn't be much help in steering your talents in a lucrative direction (or even one you could survive at!)
Never fear. WTS to the rescue!

banned church member sues jehovah's witnesses .
by brian justice, the sunday news staff writer november 09, 2002 .
I take note of that LONG LIST of defendants!
All those different groups and titles and legal entities for only one purpose: To try to protect themselves from legal action. To make it cumbersome and intimidating and confusing.
Won't this be fun if it gets to the Supreme Court and all those justices who they treat like their legal 'buddies' finally get a chance to burst their armored, idiotic and self-righteous bubble?
Good move, Babs. We'll be following the story closely.
Hopefully, the press will take a very big interest in it, even while it's still ongoing!
Prayers are with you. You are courageous and a fine example of true Christianity. You inspire us all.
in nearly every publication lately, the overpowering message to the faithful is to just listen to god's organization.
when circuit overseers give their talks, the theme is just listen to what we say.
every study article contains the same not so subtle message : you better listen because if you don't you're weak or complaining or worse yet, an apostate.the mind control is so obvious!
'Peer pressure' is one of their most beloved tools (or is that 'weapons'?)
we have a brand new audio mp3 on our site.
it's by fran sankey and it's called, "witnessing to jehovah's witnesses".
fran shares some practical witnessing tips, discusses the watchtower mindset and reveals reasons why jehovah's witnesses are so difficult to penetrate with the gospel.
Additionally, I think it's useful to point out that JWs have the lowest education level of any religious denomination.
Also very high (perhaps, the highest) rates of both suicide and homicide.
And finally, very high rates of mental illness. (I wouldn't start with that one as they seem to think this is a blessed sign of worldly persecution.)
These are things they would NEVER hear from the WTS or in the context of belonging to the Organization. In fact, it is very well hidden from them.
But, when they think about it - and perhaps immediately - they will recognize, from their own experience, that this if all very believable and makes a lot of sense.
Hopefully, it will give them pause.
