The only people I knew of that escaped the dicipline of the elders were the ones who threatened personal lawsuits to each and every elder that tried to harass them.
Threaten to sue them, and mean it, and they back right off.

I've Got An Idea: Sue An Elder!
by minimus ini honestly think that if individual elders thought they personally might get sued, they would back off from talking to you or trying to hunt you down.
i know i always was nervous that i'd havv=e to hire a lawyer and pay $$$ out of my own pocket.. what do you think?
might that not discourage elders from violating your rights or harrassing you?

what is it with women?

picture it--i'm patiently waiting in line at the local sack o shit and watching the woman in front of me stack her mountain of groceries onto the conveyor belt.
now, the grocery store conveyor belts are not 100% conveyor belt--they all have 6 to 8 inches of flat space at the end of the conveyor.

it was not typical in my experience.

I was molested by my stepfather. I went to the elders on three different occasions, begging for help, but they would not help me as I did not have another witness to the abuse. Not only did they not help me, they also forbade me to speak about it to anyone else, so therefore I could not seek any help elsewhere. The part that is really mind numbing to me now, as an adult and a parent, is that not one of those three men ever checked up on me again, I mean never. I saw them regularly at meetings and assemblies but not once did any of them apraoch me and say "hey Sphere, how are you? Are you still having problems with stepdad?" They just could not give a shit.
My 8 year old cousin was molested by her 15 year old male cousin (elders son), nothing was done.
A 15 year old sister in our hall was being molested by her uncle/guardian, the elders were aware of the situation and sent an elders wife to study with her.......... this was there solution to the problem.
An elder in our hall told me about a family in another hall where the father and two sons were all having sex with the daughter in the family. He said it was all very disgusting and that he had to counsul the daughter in how to behave "more modestly".
I can think of more, but I need a break right now.

One elder had a screaming fit directed at my JW ex-husband.
It was right before the meeting started and my hubby had the audacity to reach behind the counter to grab his own magazines.
Apparently non-ranking JW males are forbidden to put any part of their bodies behind the book counter.
I don't know what was going on in this elders private life but he just went apeshit screaming, the entire congregation went quiet and just stared.

Hanky panky in the cockpit (pun intended)
by Fatfreek ini must admit my suspicion that there may have been a bit of hanky panky going on within the cockpit (pun intended) during that recent flight - the one where those two northwest airlines pilots overflew the twin cities by 150 miles.. before considering my proposed, and admittedly wacky scenario, let's ponder the following facts.. 1. said one aviation safety consultant, "... in a car, this would be like missing your highway exit by 20 miles ..." what's that, 15 to 20 minutes?
hey -- that's not really much time.. 2. they were in an older plane where the cockpit voice recorder was limited in length to the last 30 minutes of cockpit audio, a perfect alibi for a cockpit party.
that makes it possible to automatically erase incriminating audio details.. let's say that the moments of passion are over and the players (by the way, there were 3 flight attendants on that flight.
