  loving multiples

  loving multiples is about being friends with people who are did, what used to be called multiple personality disorder.

  what is disordered, what is askance, what is forever damnable is the reason these splendiferous souls are so fragmented....... the horrific abuse foisted on them by the souless perversions of humanity that harmed them to their very cores, and beyond.

  my beloved (((((snicks))))), a gorgeous junoesque brit with the flaming red hair of her norse ancestors, towering above me at 6 feet, whose inner system populates a castle... i had the rare and distnctive privilege of naming her 18 yo alter, she who held the music, who used her age as her designation as she felt undeserving of even a name to be known by ...... her 3 and 5 yos who sat with me on the parlour floor and learned to make balloon animals.... the 10 yo keeper of anger, the worst assignment in the system, because there is rarely ever peace for them in the swirl of chaos and upheaval that is the toxic residue of their moment of creation...... the sweet 8 yo who remained hidden for years even after the others were found.... who cried because i was leaving and she had not been "out" to meet me...... you cannot begin to know the joy i had seeing her laugh while i read her a book and did all the voices and animal sounds.

  I've thought a lot about your post Chickpea.

  I remember something that is rather telling. The elders in the local halls were not very good at keeping secrets. Because of several elders in my family, I heard all the gossip in the local halls and the details whenever anyone got DFed.

  The young sis I mentioned above was the only daughter of a single sister. She started cutting herself and her mother sought help wherever she could find it. It came out that her uncle had molested her repeatedly as a very small child. Then the mom remembered that the same uncle had molested her too. They sought help and that is when the daughter was diagnosed with DID. Shortly after that she was DF'd obviously for something one of her personalities did.

  The telling part is I never heard any gossip about what this girl did. Apparently none of the elders wanted to talk about this one case. I wonder why? Feeling a little guilty maybe about what they did?

  My god, this girl was like 18, she was cutting herself repeatedly, she kept covered up and would never allow the sunlight to touch her skin. I never ever once saw her smile.

  But yeah, that's the kind of people Jah kicks out of the congregation, can't you just feel the love?

  JWs and narcissism

  i've been thinking about this for a while, so was surprised to see another poster start a thread about narcissism just when i was going to do so.

  however, his thread isn't really the same as what i had in mind.

  i was thinking about the jw belief that jehovah, jesus, all the angels, satan and all the demons and the entire world are watching their entire lives, every single move.

  They do brag about every little thing.

  I remember going to an assembly when I was about 6 or 7. As we got close to the building, traffic was backed up at an unmarked intersection. The JW's took turns letting each other pass at the intersection. My folks started raving how only JW's would do that, the world would never take turns!!

  Later on during the assembly even one of the speakers spoke about the amazing love the dubs showed each other at that intersection. The world would never do that!

  I saw this silly display at many assmeblies growing up, and yeah, I believed them.

  Fast forward a few years, I have my own drivers license, A traffic light I am approaching is obveously not functioning properly. Guess what all those wordly drivers people did? They took turns! Imagine that!

  I've driven for many years now, decades even. I have seen wordly people take turns at every unmarked intersection I have ever been at. I ususally make a big rant over how loving and god-like those drivers must be. My never-been-JW husband doesn't get it, I think it;s hilarious every time.

  Where's the strangest place you have left your cell phone?

  thursday nights i cook dinner next door for my aunt, my cousin and her three girls.

  so this past thursday, right after dinner, cognac called me on my cell phone.

  We had a sweet young sister in our congo that had multiplies.

  The Society does not recognize this condition, they DFed her shortly after she was diagnosed.

  I don't have DID, but I have a 5 year old self and a 15 year old self. If I am distressed about anything, I need to have a talk with one of those selves, and that is where I find the source of my distress.

  Female Adults Praying In The Company of Male Children

  just a simple question.. within the jws, if a woman needs to pray for the group because no baptized man is present, she has to cover her head as a mark of respect/submission (take your pick).

  it applies even if the male is a young child.

  my question is, does the rule still apply if there's a male baby present?

  A sister I knew became submissive to her sons once they were baptised, around the age of ten or eleven.

  I asked her what this meant in day to day life, and she said that she would no longer repremand them (left that for dad) and that she saw them as spiritual leaders like her husband.

  Yeah, my step-dad.

  But it was his word against mine.

  So their was nothing the poor elders could do.

  Other then to warn me that I had to forgive, and not to tell anyone else about it.

  I was also suppose to tell them if it happened again.

  It did happen again, I told them, and there only reply was once again telling me to "let them know if it happens again".

  I stopped telling them, what was the point?

  Step dad is not only in good standing in his congo, he also now is one of the annointed!

  Bad Drivers & Road Rage

  you know i wish i could put bullbars (these are big metal bars across 4 x 4s, off road cars) on my car and drive into some people just to teach them a lesson.

  yes every now and again i suffer from road rage and i justify it because there are such bad drivers around.. i hate it when you're on the roads and 1. drivers just swerve in front of you with no indication beofre.

  2. when drivers drive to slow in the fast lane 3. when drivers ""sit on your bum"" edging you to go faster than the speed limit.

  I get unnerved by overly generous drivers. Picture this, I'm stopped at an intersection, the driver to my right has the right of way but decides to allow me the right of way instead. Usually with a huge smile and gesturing for me to go ahead.

  I don't move becuase i do not have the right of way, if a wreck happened it would be my fault! Your giving me the right of way does not make it legal!

  I've had this happen several times and it just floors me how the other person will just keep smiling and waving for me to proceed even though traffic is backing up behind both of us.

  The last time this happened I kept pointing at the stop sign facing me, while she kept waving me on with grander and grander gestures, her smile getting bigger and bigger.

  I finally turned in the opposite direction I was going, to avoid her. WTF are people thinking?

  Darin's Tijuana Mexico JW experience

  darin is on a business trip in san diego california.

  on monday, he and his friend josh went to tijuana mexico.

  he said that was the crudest places he has ever seen.

  Maybe he was just lonely and wanted to chat?

  Very weird, if it happened to me I would probably have acted like an idiot.

  I do not do well with impromtu questioning. The last time i crossed the border, the guard just wanted to know where i was from, and I just stared at him with my mind racing in every direction but the one that told me where I was from. all the time my mind is saying "quit acting so guilty!".

  I finally managed to figure out the proper answer and he just waived me on. It must happen a lot, because he didn't seem the least concerned.
